I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about Chain of Thorns, and though I loved it and it was very happy to see so many good endings for beloved characters, i almost wanted a tragedy.

Like Matthew is my favourite character she’s written, possibly ever, and i think I wanted the catharsis of his tragedy, whether him dying or being stripped of his runes. That way he would have burned brighter, the tragedy felt set in stone and without it I feel tetherless.

Hi love your tumblr! If TMI/SH books had a spin off with Just Clary, what would the canon be for the it?

thanks so much! If there was a spin off with just clary, I would love to see her just traveling the world by herself and kinda taking a break from the fame and the shadowhunting. I could see her occasionally stopping by an institute to make new friends and say hi, but overall i’d love to hear more about the every day life of a traveling clary. I would love to read about her peacefully painting in london, admiring the art at the louve, taking pictures from the top of the eiffel tower. And then of course when she finally sees jace and her friends again I would loooove to read about the reunion because it would make my heart so happy. I just realized this would probably be a boring novel to most people but i  just want clary to be happy and carefree and traveling the world doing what she loves because she deserves it after everything she went through
