Ok I am genuinely crashing the fuck out over this one vid I saw on TikTok bc it shows how genuinely idiotic some parents and people are

So the vid was two TODDLERS running around the carrier with their baby sibling in it placed on the floor as the mom is recording it off to the side

Then one of the toddlers fall ON THE CARRIER/BABY TIPPING IT OVER SO THE BABY FALLS OUT

PLUS THEY ARE RIGHT NEXT TO THE COUCH THAT IS SHAPED LIKE A BRICK WHICH IS DANGEROUS IN CASE THE BABY HITS ITS HEAD ON IT

THATS OBVIOUSLY A REALLY AVOIDABLE SCENARIO AND A SUPER DANGEROUS THING TO HAPPEN TO THE BABY RIGHT???

YOU THINK PPL IN THE COMMENTS WOULD BE CONCERNED RIGHT???

I want little ghoul and swiss to be my parents

Sorry, I'm kinda gonna use this for a little bit of a tangent, mostly because I think most of us in the Ghost fandom have some sort of parental trauma.

Tbh I think some people need better parents than what they got. I think we also tend to forget that parents are people too. They make mistakes, they get stuck in their ways, they get hurt and traumatized just as we do. I suppose it's our job as the newer generation to do better than they did. We'll make mistakes too when it's our time, but we'll do our best to be better. Some people decide they don't want kids because of their parents, and that's valid. But I also think some of those people would be fantastic parents.

Despite all of what I just said, our parents should be held accountable for their actions. Children are meant to be handled with care, even in disciplinary situations. Aftercare is just as important as the punishment. Many of us didn't get that. And we rarely received apologies when our parents went too far. I remember getting hit with a belt, and I never got an apology for when it hurt so bad I screamed and my hands got beat from trying to stop it.

All in all, be better, and hold them accountable for their actions.

FB parent adventures pt 2

Once again saw something in the fb group of September babies I’m in. This time re: the rock-n-play recall. I’m of the opinion that’s it’s recalled for safety so just take it in and stop using it. But, to each their own.

One woman posted that her MIL goes after her for continuing to use it despite the recall. Lady says she has used it for all her kids so it’s fine and she ignored her. Well, MIL called CPS so they showed up, told her to stop using it and left. Lady said f*** it. They showed up a couple weeks later, she was still using it so now it’s a formal abuse/neglect investigation. They have now done an unannounced 9pm visit so she’s livid.

Should MIL have called them for that? No that’s just petty. BUT I tried explaining to her that the pnp isn’t the issue for CPS any more, it’s her not following their instructions. Why risk your children with something simple; they say jump, you ask how high?

She’s not happy with my comment so goes on a rant about how her MIL also threatens to call CPS over spanking her 2 year old (!) and that she won’t get him help since he’s completely non-verbal and hits parents and baby. Soooooo....I’m guessing CPS is investigating more than just a baby product.

People like this are mind boggling. These are the times I get frustrated that some people have kids easily but yet some struggle to have even 1.

Rant

Before I start this little rant, I just want to apologize if I ramble, or I don't make sense at times. I really just need to get this off my chest. With that being said,

Parents, please do NOT hold your child's grades over their head

Ever since I was a little kid, my parents and teachers always praised me, saying that I was so smart for my age. Every year, I heard the same thing. I was told that I thought on a level higher than even the honors students in my grade. Now, I know that all sounds like a massive compliment, and on the surface, it is, however, if a child is told this too many times.....it can start to become a burden to them.

As I've gotten older, I've found that school gets harder and harder to deal with. Why? Because the work is getting harder, and sometimes I struggle. Why don't I ask for help, then? Because I'm scared. I'm scared of being seen as dumb. Oh and my ADHD and depression don't help, either. ADHD makes it hard for me to focus, and depression.....is depression.

And another thing, don't treat your child's grades like they are the most important thing on the planet. Just today, my grade in a class went from an A to a B, and my mom is pissed. I'm now allowed to have anything below an A. Hell, my parents are threatening that if I get anything below a B on my report card this quarter, then I'm being sent off to military school.

Now, in my case, I will admit that laziness does tie in to some of my poor grades. For example, today, when my grade dropped, it was because I had forgotten to complete an assignment in that class. My mom messaged me about it, and I tried to tell her that I would get it done. Long story short, it is literally impossible for me to fix it, no matter what, and my mom is still pissed about it.

I have a B, mom, a B. I can understand the annoyance, but to get mad at your child for something as small as this, really?? All of this can do awful things to your child's mental state, even if you think you're doing the right thing.

Children are not weapons, DO NOT USE THEM TO HURT THE OTHER PARENT!

I can’t believe I even have to say this but honestly I can’t cope with the stupidity on this planet. I was on Facebook today, I’m in a couple mom groups, so I’m scrolling through and I see a post of a mom complaining about her baby daddy. I roll my eyes and typically would keep scrolling but this time I took a look into the comments to see what advice she was getting. Y’all, there were SO MANY comments saying “get child support and don’t let him see your kid.” Like bitch, that is her child’s father how dare you even. (I should say she complained that he cheated on her, no danger to her or their child or anything) Anyways I’m scrolling through these comments and I find one that really pissed me off. This one mom comments and says “girl, I would leave the state and not tell his cheating ass. That’s your daughter, children only need their moms. Baby daddies are irrelevant.” First of all, that’s wrong on so many levels. Children need both parents, I won’t go into psychological detail for lack of proper education and to avoid accidentally offending anyone who grew up without a parent but yeah, you’re wrong. Very wrong. Second, from my view as a parent, how selfish can you be? My sons father and I aren’t together anymore BUT he sees his son almost every day. He buys him clothes, diapers, food, anything he needs as do I. He recently took him to the zoo. And we both go to every doctors appointment. We aren’t together because my DAD taught me to know my worth and he was a shitty boyfriend. Regardless, he’s a great dad. I can’t stand the man sometimes but that doesn’t matter. We are parents first. My son absolutely adores him, I could not imagine pulling him out of his life. Who am I to deny him the love of his father? If your baby daddy doesn’t want to be in your kids life then yes he’s irrelevant but if he is FIGHTING to be in your kids life, YOURE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. You are hurting your child because you’re bitter and selfish. Children are not pawns.

So a new place is giving away free pizza today (Blaze’s pizza-now in Fort Wayne) and I get in line with da child and...

all she does is bitch.  Like she doesn’t want to be there, says she’d rather do homework than get free pizza.  Demands to go back to the car and wait

so that’s what she did.  She waited in the car for an hour while I got in line for pizza.  I got it, and she wanted let out so she could walk and meet her totally not boyfriend as he got out of school. Now I’ve eaten half and wanting to eat the rest because she’s been a little bitch about the whole thing.

Would I be a bad parent to eat it?  Or a good parent to say “fuck you-no dinner because you didn’t just wait and get your own”?

Why are some parents so fucking weird. Like no I don't think my daughter having different preferences than me is bad. That doesnt make her harder to love. Why would it!!!?? Why would it? WHY?! Also shes a toddler. She legit just unlocked control of her imagination and thoughts? So she wants to know about everything? Yesterday her favorite show was Oswald, today its dragon tails. She has dinosaurs and princesses. Are y'all only giving your kids things YOU like? You know that kids, and im gonna hold your left nut as I say this, their own person.
