Holy shit I think I just created the perfect premise for an Ares/Percy fic. I was rambling on Bluesky so I'm just gonna copy/paste what I said over there:
Ngl it's a little funny to me that in PJO, Apollo was punished & temporarily turned mortal bc of what his descendant did. Meanwhile Ares straight up committed treason by helping Luke steal the master bolt and intentionally instigating a civil war in the Lightning Thief, but got off scot-free.
Probably Rick wasn't even thinking of this, but it's an absolutely hilarious contradiction that Apollo got put through the wringer for something like 1/10th as egregious as Ares' stupid ass. Which perfectly facilitates a fic premise where Olympus does find out about Ares after years of him keeping quiet bc he didn't want anyone to find out he very purposefully aided Kronos at some point. Zeus thinks about all the delicious punishments he could inflict, but none feel quite right...
Making Ares a mortal boy? Been there, done that.
Hanging Ares over the pit leading to Chaos to torment him? Eh, he already did that with Hera. Zeus wants to do something new with Ares, something that'll really keep the rest of the gods in line for a good long while....
And he smiles to himself, silently relishing in his masterful cruelty.
Zeus, king of Olympus, decrees that as punishment for his treason, Ares the god of war shall be shackled to the very hero who thwarted him, Percy Jackson!
From this day forward, Ares shall serve Percy as his attendant for the rest of the demigod's life. No exceptions, no mercy.
Some of the Olympians think the punishment is too cruel. After all, Apollo had a chance to become a god again & Dionysus had his sentence to CHB shortened to only 50 years due to good behavior. But there's no more arguing to be had. Ares must pay for betraying his family and king.
And this punishment is meant to humiliate Ares to the greatest extent imaginable, having him serve a mere demigod in exchange for absolutely nothing. (Functioning as essentially a slave.)
Lowkey everyone kinda expected Percy to be pleased with this arrangement. He does love to humble the gods repeatedly, to an almost excruciating degree. But Percy is fucking pissed. He doesn't want to babysit a violent man baby for the rest of his life. And he doesn't want to have to look at Ares every single day.
He tries to fight the decree, but it's no use.
Some stipulations: Ares can't maim or kill Percy, or hurt anyone around him (w/out permission), or trigger events that might harm Percy, and has to dutifully serve him by doing or fetching whatever he wants.
For Percy, he can't command Ares to go away for the rest of his life. He can certainly waste the god's time by having him run errands or go on stupid, meaningless quests, but Percy can't ignore Ares or send him away.
Anyway this scenario can only end in 1 of 2 ways (or both):
1. Ares starts developing a crush on Percy bc he's hot and powerful and a total cutie with his snatched waist and broad hips and luscious hair, so serving him is way less of a chore + he lowkey kinda likes being bossed around.
2. Through events that may or may not have been caused by Ares, Percy ascends and becomes immortal/a minor god, thereby making the god of war his servant for all eternity (since Ares' sentence was until the day Percy dies). Again, Ares secretly doesn't think that's a bad thing....
+ I love making PJO Ares a total douche bag who's not a good person but is still obsessed with Percy and insanely, embarrassingly down bad for him. Ty for reading 💙
Today the topic is the right age to fall in love with someone, not only to fall in love, but also to delude yourself and disbelieve that no one will give you sincere love, yes, there is no way you can not give love a chance at any age, relationships are like trying on a dress or a pair of shoes, for it to work you have to get used to all of your partner's quirks, get used to each other's friends, family, then if you don't have patience, but there will be someone who will fit perfectly into your life, like a pair of shoes, there will be a hole here and there, but nothing that love and complicity cannot fix, but you need to be patient, give time to each relationship and see how love little by little fixes everything, one of them will be almost perfect, it will be your life.

beef pares. it takes a pair for this.
good old pork and beef fat in our bowl. too overwhelming that you might need some calamansi to break it down. kinda bit in the heavy end and very filling and the best thing to get if you are down on your pesos and want something that lasts the entire day. this is a very small yet heavy meal that makes you rather feel like a pig after eating it because of the excessive sweating. i wouldn't recommend eating this daily or just an entire day but i dont mind if you do just dont feel terrible afterwards
