Funny how Benevolent is not canon but provides a very silly explanation for why there are so many versions of Arthur in the dark world (Kayne kept grabbing alternate versions of him and exploding them for his play)
Shockwave was had been disconnected from anything that would allow him to join up with the network of Cybertron or anything else , he could only receive calls or make them out and all of them were monitored.
A collar around his neck, to stop him from transforming and dampening his strength.
Right now he was throwing a ball at the wall cursing out the Autobots, cursing out Sentinel...Optimus would have made a far better Magnus, it was him who'd given Megatron a ridiculously fair trial, to the point where he'd been sentenced to work with one of the Primes.
Namely one Rodimus, what a blaring colour scheme and loud mouth, it would no doubt be driving his master crazy.
A guard knocked on the door
"Stop banging on that damn wall!"
Shockwave stared at him, his singular eye bearing down into the smaller mech.
"And do you dare to come in here and make me?"
The Autobot scowled and looked away.
"I thought not."
His antenna twitched, his intercom was, of course, under surveillance, so anyone who called him had to be pretty damn desperate, especially if it could possibly involve something these blasted Autobots did not approve of.
Checking the number, his optic showed its disappointment, once upon a time he would have given his nuts and bolts to see this number and now ....rolling his optic he picked up.
"I swear, Lord Megatron, if the first words out of your mouth are , Shockwave, I need you to retrieve that Autobot who helped to put us to an end , I'll hang up right now."
There was only silence between them, and of course, Shockwave sighed, antenna dropping back as he closed his optic and placed a hand to his face.
"Really? No Hello, how are you rotting in your cell or plans to break me out, just get Optimus back."
The Autobot guard was making sure all of this was being patched through to the higher-ups, making sure nothing was lost or was put into planning.
The guard wanted Optimus back just as much as anyone else, no matter how much he disliked the Decepticons a lot of them wanted the Bot who'd brought down Megatron home safely.
As much as Shockwave adored Megatron it didn't mean he couldn't be disappointed.
"You bonded with him didn't you, I have heard the rumors...you realise My Lord, once you return you will be put back by my side. They won't use one of their scientists to forcefully remove the bond. They'll tell me to do it if I want you to live..."
He leaned back letting the ball drop from his hand , watching it bounce twice and roll off.
"You would hate me. But we both know I would do it to save you. However I am also aware in a sense a part of you would die. So what is more logical? To let someone I once called friend die , or save them and watch their husk simply breathing in and out for my own personal need."
"Shockwave I-"
"I am aware of the option you have chosen, the tertiary one, you will not return here, after all this place is unrecognisable, but look at your partner now my Lord and tell me, will he be happy to be away from home forever as you are so willing to do?"
Megatron held Rodimus closer to his frame, that was something he'd definitely been concerned about , but he'd already made his decision.
He'd spent too long bringing terror to the galaxy.
"Then, so be it."
Shockwave shook his head
"You are a fool, but in honour of our years spent together and my loyalty to you, I will do as you ask."
With that, he hung up, looking over at the guard who was staring slack jawed, he was one of the few who was unaware of Megatron and Rodimus bonding. But he was looking past him at the slender blue figure who stared at him coldly.
Shockwave rose to his feet and stared down at the approaching mech.
"Ahhh agent Blurr, how pleasant to see you, I do hope there are no hard feelings between us."
The pleasantries were a mockery, a sweet tone that bubbled with sarcasm.
Blurr did not answer him, he started punching in the code, after all they'd heard everything, Shockwave had agreed to help.
"Your stare may be that of the coldness of space..."
Shockwaves tone gave away how much he was smirking as he lowered his head.
His tone a low hum now
"But your frame still quivers in fear...and something more, you can't hide it from me, you were always so readable...perhaps if you took off this pesky collar you could see Longarm again."
The bars had gone down just as he said that and earned a well deserved servo to the face. Optic tearing up.
"I always did enjoy your fighting spirit. Now, shall we begin, I believe I have an Autobot to retrieve. "
