Weiss, Day 19

Skye doesn't recall saying he was happy for the General to join him at the chess board, but join him he did.

Skye: ... so I've come to get a pet, since my dog passed away - excuse me, I must say hello to my daughter.

Skye: Well, aren't you a beautiful girl?

Skye: Let's hope you get on with Ebony. We could even have baby kitties!

Skye: Hi Beulah. The wedding was gorgeous - pass on my thanks to Scot for inviting me.

Skye was popular tonight - he had this phone call from Vidcund, then one from Osiris, then one from Rocky!

He never did interact much with Beulah. Looks like Ivory's decided it's her duty to terrorise the womrat.

Skye spent his evening in pursuit of his favourite hobby.

Ivory's found the catnip mouse!

Skye spent his day off getting himself a new cat - the place was too quiet with Woody and Ebony moved out, and Brady gone.

This one's called Ivory, and she's female, so maybe we can breed her with Woody's cat, Ebony, when he gets back from college.

VeronaHills, Round Nine: Weiss

Skye wanted the vision of Penny in a white dress under an arch of flowers to be his last memory, ill health be damned.

Becoming bedridden and lung-stricken was an unwelcome change for a man who had previously hiked hills and lapped lakes. He was humbled be helped to his feet by his son-in-law to-be, all handsome in a crisp white suit with lemon trimmings. "Can I borrow your rose pin?" Cyd asked, and Skye obliged, adding the 'something borrowed' to the suit lapel. The 'something blue' would be the inspiration for Skye's name showing up cloudless to his daughter's special day - it simply had to.

The journey up to the ruins had Skye being carried by Cyd, with his hand held by Penny all the way. A spring rain the night before had rendered the path softer and muddier than hoped - but, when the group met the clearing, dirt fell away from the whites of the bride and groom, sweat disappeared from their brows, and leaves sprouted from Penny's scalp in seconds. She was beaming, which made Skye smile too, even as his bones cried out for rest.

"The hot spring," Penny suggested. "You can watch us from there."

Even in a ground-length gown, she still helped lower Skye into the soothing water. He realised with a close-up view that the yellow embroidery on her dress matched the shade of Cyd's bowtie, waistcoat and pocket square. The sway of the pattern also alluded to the vines that twirled and danced over her lush faerie skin.

"Thank you," Skye said under his breath. He sank against the hot stones.

Vows were shared under rustling trees. Birdsong erupted from the branches. Cherry blossom petals materialised to caress the happy couple: Mr and Mrs Roseland.

Skye turned and closed his eyes. He breathed in the forest's fresh air for the final time, and slipped away.

Yay! Finally getting to see a different Meg! (Of course Ellie is brilliant but I’ve only ever seen Ellie and Georgia Ware as Meg so definitely excited to see Skye!

Uberhood update 2! hopefully by round 2 i'll do it by individual household Don lothario adds Luisa Libros (nina's roommate) to his stable of ladies, he then marries cassandra and they have a daughter named camilla!! they've moved out of the condo to Audrey Manor in Belladonna Cove (where their neighbors are regan and cornwall capp) Woody is a loveable trash boy and his trash eating causes the whole family to get the flu (besides the baby who can't get the flu) a really weird friendship starts between pre-prison rich mann from the welcome wagon and sharla ottomas, i feel like this is gonna have some story significance later. Also at the welcome wagon is Skye Weiss, whom Dora is going closer and closer to...
