The Midnight Bay - Update release!
Hey, everyone!
Finally! I've spent every moment of my free time this past week preparing this update. There were a lot more little rewrites in it since I was re-reading parts for continuity between dialogue options and ended up cringing at some of the clunkier writing, haha.

The demo length is now around 140k words.
Please note: any old saves will be broken. A lot of stuff was rearranged in the code. Also, there have been some rewrites — it's worth rereading for the little details.
I've done my best to test everything, but if you come across any bugs, weird, repetitive text, continuity issues, or pronoun errors, feel free to send me a message or ask, and I will fix them as quickly as I can.

Jay's Bonfire POV (15k)
It's finished!!
Jay's bonfire POV came in at just under 16k words. There's a bit of branching to be had at the end, depending on whether or not Josh is around (and whether or not MC tried abandoning him...); but the beginning is fairly linear, covering the earlier events of the bonfire.
I had a ton of fun digging into Jay's brain and writing them interacting with Croft more than they have so far in-canon; so hopefully everyone who reads has a good time with it, too c:

Chapter Twelve is finally complete 🎉 After months of writing, coding and splitting hairs over variations, Chapter Twelve is done and ready to play. This is the final chapter of Crown of Exile, with only an epilogue left.

The game is already released for both Ishari and Vinia Tiers, and will be released for the Cyre (3 Nov) and Nomad (6 Nov) Tiers next week. If all goes according to plan, the epilogue will be ready by December, and you can expect a demo early next year on Steam.
