Sometimes classics simply compliment one another. To celebrate my mother, we made her bread pudding recipe for a small brunch yesterday. Peach Preserves with Fresh Basil and Mozzarella

This simple and delicious appetizer is ready in mere minutes. No need to come to the party empty-handed. 

What's your 2018 plan? Today I'm staying home with family and ringing in the New Year with people closest to me. We'll start the day watching a football game which starts in under an hour. Tonight we'll make an appetizer or two and cook up bacon wrapped steaks with roasted potatoes. I see us sitting around the dinner table sharing our hopes and dreams for the coming year. 2017 has been a year of patience, trying to understand, and learning so many new things. 

The end of the year is a time to see where you’ve been, what you’ve accomplished, what you must continue to work at. I believe we all have the potential to grow who we are. The coming year gives me an opportunity to simplify, tweak, and maybe even expand my horizons. There is always room for improvement and I look forward to 2018 with an open heart and mind.
