Saw Magic Mike 3 tonight. Got exactly what I paid for, and then some. It also made me more excited to work on my Performance AU.

my mind has been occupied by fma:b, a concert i went to recently, and this amazing concept so i kinda mashed them all together!

i only thought up of 3 performances so far,, but the first one is ling (+ lan fan and ed as backup dancers lol), then greed stealing the spotlight, and then roy and riza singing a duet

The Organization

Performance AU. TW: Abuse, Unhealthy Relationships

The Conservatory’s famous award-winning Competitive Dance Team, now defunct after one of their dancers, Marluxia, was injured.

Only called The Organization because of their Black warm up suits and matching sunglasses.

Some members weren’t dancers, Xigbar managed schedules, Vexen was a choreographer, and Lexaeus was their Physical Therapist. 

The Team was comparatively very small and mostly male which led to their popularity. No one could mess up. The whole team would look bad.

Xemnas and his twin brother were the de facto leaders of the Team. Xemnas was an adjunct professor working directly with the department head, Ansem (The Wise).

Xemnas was infamously hard on them. It was common to see the dancers in phsyio nursing injuries after their lengthy rehearsals. Particularly Saix.

Dancers had all kinds of horrible nicknames due to their attitudes. Like Larxene The Savage and Marluxia “The Assassin” who were the famous Mean Girls of the department prone to insulting new students or openly mocking teachers.

Saix and Axel weren’t much better, prone to embarrassing other dancers and then criticizing them when they complain. Or they would pretend to be kind to another dancer only to humiliate or insult them.

Roxas and Xion were only just accepted accepted into the team and never preformed with them. They kind of dodged a bullet there.

Saix was often left alone with Xemnas, Marluxia was pretty vocal about how much he hated that, thinking Xemnas favored Saix. 

Axel didn’t seem to care. If he did, he certainly didn’t show it. Even when Saix started sporting bruises in places other that his feet.

Luxord and Demyx tried not to get involved in the drama but they tended to side more with Marluxia much to Axel’s frustration. 

Upon seeing the bruises, Marluxia changed his motive and stepped up his game by openly confronting Xemnas about it. This was the beginning of the end.

Saix started spending less time with Xenams, Axel had an issue with that. He called Marluxia out during rehearsal claiming that  he was trying to take Saix’s spot as the favorite because he can’t handle not being the center of attention. Marluxia accused him of “pimping Saix out”.

A fight ensued. With Xaldin and Lexaeus having to pull both men off of each other. Saix was uncharacteristically shaken by the ordeal. Luxord drove him home that night, it was the last time anyone saw him.

With Saix not showing up for the exhibition performance at the conservatory’s competition, tensions ran high. Roxas and Xion had no idea what was going on but spent most of their time with Axel who was particularly worried that night.

Marluxia idly announces that he has something to do and asks Luxord to text him when they get ready to run through their performance. The dance is more important to him than whatever happened last night.

Xemnas comes around and asks where Marluxia has gone. No one seems to want to answer. Even Luxord who knows damn well that Marluxia is in the stairwell, making a call. But Axel does.

No one knows what happened, but it ended up with Marluxia at the bottom of two flights of stairs, with a head injury, leg and hip broken and Xemnas with a black eye, and a bloody scratch on his right arm. 

There was never a performance that night and the competition was interrupted by the arrival of emergency service.

Xemnas claimed Marluxia attacked him (the black eye) and that he tried to catch him before he fell (the bloody scratch) Whereas Marluxia claims he was pushed. But who would you believe? A trusted teacher? Or a known liar?

With the incident happening on his watch, Ansem resigned as head of the department. Xemnas left the school saying the time was right and left Altissia all together.

No one knows what happened in that stairwell but one thing is certain, Marluxia may never dance again.

A little Ushiten comic I’m making based on some ideas for an au my friend and I like to talk about. The bonding comic happens in the same au in case you’re interested😜 The other character in the comic is an Oc whos sole purpose is to cause drama.

What are your modern au headcanons for one piece?

Mmmmm I have three Modern AUs because if I'm going to do One Piece in a world that looks more like our own, there has to be a reason for it. And usually that reason, other than self-indulgence, is a particular plot that wouldn't work in a traditional OP setting.

So there's the Performance AU, where a number of One Piece characters are either strippers, do burlesque, or perform drag. It's self-indulgent as fuck and I haven't done anything with it in a while but I did write a short fic for it a while ago. Never did put it onto AO3 because I didn't think anyone would read it over there. It's Zosan-centric, though, and Zoro and Sanji strip at Shanks' club and have a lot of unresolved sexual tension, Robin and Usopp do drag (and Robin still does burlesque everyone once in a while), Namivivi are there as supportive friends, Luffy is Usopp's supporting boyfriend, etc etc. I have a tag.

Then there's this Modern AU that I have with @lesbian-space-ranger that's basically an AU of this fic I have called Can't Live Like This. This AU is "the good timeline" for the fic in question, which I call the bad timeline fic. One day Cas and I just started talking about Zoro and Sanji and my OC Casey dating and so it takes place in, like, a kinder version of Earth because it's pure escapism basically.

And oh my god that AU is a web of ships, but let's stick to what people are doing. Zoro is a personal trainer, Sanji's a chef, Nami has a home renovation TV show, Usopp is an illustrator and is dating Luffy, Luffy makes his money doing Twitch streams of him playing video games, and I'm kinda forgetting what everyone else does.

Then there's the Music AU. Again it's Zosan-centric. Zoro, Sanji, Luffy, and Usopp have a band. Nami is their manager and the other Straw Hats are involved in some capacity. I'm a little too tired to write any more about it but I have a music AU tag.
