Who has only one personality? -- Michael Lipsey
My ENTP ass having an emotion: well, i'd like to barf
The Platters - The Great Pretender (1955)
Also, I have to ask, do you think there are any ties in Lotor's armour that relate him back to Eastern Europe? And do you think from a colour standpoint that he might be more morally grey rather than a villain?
I think you’re right on the color scheme. As so many others have noted the colors in the outfits say a lot about them. There’s a reason why they’re chosen in film. They denote the emotions and view points that the writers can’t give. So for Lotor with the colors: Major colors seem to be a mauve and amethyst, which denote someone who is sentimental but also someone who is rather related to the idea of healing, also someone who is thoughtful as a person. It’s also got the feeling of being peaceful of mind, and also protective.
The thing about Mauve though is that it’s a color that helps people make good choices, is more about justice that needs to be done, always do the right thing, and there’s a commoner and social climber aspect to it that tends to look for higher ideals
Where as Amethyst is a mystical color, tends to make the person more intuitive and protects the vulnerable, gives the person more empathy.
Then there is the Indigo color, which I think speaks for itself: Positive Keywords: integrity and sincerity, structure and regulations, highly responsible, idealism, obedience, highly intuitive, practical visionary, faithful, devotion to the truth and selflessness.
Negative keywords include being fanatical, judgemental, impractical, intolerant and inconsiderate, depressed, fearful, self-righteous, a conformist, addictive, bigoted and avoiding conflict.
It also has a Deep Purple which is more along the line of someone who is seem as a visionary, rich, royal, prestigious, subduing, distant and introspective as well as aloof.
There’s also these little facts about Indigo
Intuition: use it to assist in accessing intuitive abilities - it is the first step to higher spiritual knowledge
Integrity: and deep sincerity are qualities of indigo
Structure and Order: a good colour to use in restructuring aspects of your life or business
Wisdom: an inner knowingness and awareness - spiritual wisdom rather than the wisdom of the intellect
Effects of The Color Indigo
Introspection: promotes deep concentration during times of introspection and meditation - can lead to feelings of being spaced out.
Idealistic: an ability to plan for the future.
Addiction: can support an addictive personality into maintaining their addictions - don’t use it if you are trying to overcome an addiction - it is associated with the religious fanatic - the colour of the workaholic who thinks they are indispensable - can also be related to those who are addicted to getting qualifications.
The Dramatist: relates to the acting profession - can cause people to ‘make a mountain out of a molehill’.
Conformity: a love of ritual - conformity to the things that have worked in the past, not just for the sake of conforming.
And Purple
Positive keywords include: unusual and individual, creative and inventive, psychic and intuitive, humanitarian, selfless and unlimited, mystery, fantasy and the future.
Negative keywords include: immaturity, being impractical, cynical and aloof, pompous and arrogant, fraudulent and corrupt, delusions of grandeur and the social climber.
Inspiration: Original and sound ideas are created with violet - use it when looking for inspiration during brainstorming sessions.
Imagination: Violet inspires creativity with intellect - it is also stimulating to dream activity.
Individuality: Violet is unconventional, individual and original. It hates to copy anyone else and likes to do its own thing.
Spirituality: Violet assists us during prayer and meditation, helping us to get in touch with our deeper subconscious thoughts. Churches often feature violet in their stained glass windows. From a negative perspective it can relate to the cult follower.
Effects of the Color Purple/Violet
Empathy: Compassion, kindness and a love of humanity are positive qualities of Violet.
Controlled emotion: Violet is passionate, like red, but inclined to display it in private only.
Respectable & distinguished: The darker shades of violet particularly are linked to the origins of purple where it was only available to royalty and the wealthy.
Impractical: Violet can be impractical, with its head in the clouds rather than having its feet on the ground. It tends to see life as it imagines it, rather than how it is.
Immature: Violet can be immature, encouraging fantasy and an idealism that is often difficult to achieve in real life.
Dignity: Violet exudes a quiet modest form of dignity which is often appealing to others.
Cynical: This is a negative side of violet.
Adding to that there’s the Orange color, this is usually a color associated with someone who can be aggressive and passionate, but also, because of the yellow, very optimistic and cheerful. Someone who is willing to have fun, but can get serious. They have a lot of self confidence, pride, and can be seen as strong, attractive and happy and adventurous. On the other side thought the color they went with is a Darker Red Orange which has someone who is dealing with a lot of tension and self aggression, over-confidence and over-ambition. It tries too hard to prove its worth and to boost its self-esteem, but when it fails, which is often, it develops a chip on its shoulder. It is the color of the opportunist, taking selfish advantage of every situation.
Definitely see the gray in there, and the idea of him being more an antagonist then a straight up villain makes sense to me. Would fit in with how the writers and producers see him.
Armour wise, maybe some influence with the horse riders or archers. Since he’s limited in what he’s wearing as far as armour unlike his dad.
That’s my take on it.
No matter how educated, talented, rich or cool you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells all.
