Those were my early blogging days on this platform and I was quite reluctant to give away any personal details about myself, so I kept half of the story for myself, at the time. Something perfectly useless, that being said, because the pouncing and pressuring had already begun in DMs (and not from the other side, might I add). The frequency and insistence prompted me to quickly play my hand as openly as I could, to no avail. You cannot win with some people, no matter what your tactical choices might be. It is what it is.
Anyways, back to the Cristina Castaño episode, I have to immediately mention that my (now) ex was - and still is... - a journalist for one of the biggest, most prestigious Spanish daily newspapers. He is the one who told me that SC were an open secret for the Spanish press, with people giggling about 'that Scottish actor and his Irish woman' for days after the gala. I did not press for more details and now I regret it: but again, the Madrid gala happened as I was just beginning to fall through the SC Rabbit Hole. I had asked very casually, being sure that was a #silly question, only to be told something that made me second guess many things I was beginning to put together. And oh, well, I might have also found that perfectly ridiculous, too, to be honest.
My ex also told me Cristina Castaño, who hails from the same province as him, was not exactly the frivolous type, when it came to double entendre jokes, like that particular one. It made sense to me, having more than a fair grasp of that very peculiar Northern mentality.
For the other professional recently (Easter) confirming the same thing - not press, but a very well connected person, in his country (Ireland) and elsewhere -, I am afraid I will have to kill you immediately after telling you, Anon.
This being believe what you want territory, I do not expect you to endorse my experience with ease, nor even give me any credit for it. Because so many people lied, in here, it's very hard to adhere to this kind of tidbits and I completely understand this. Rest assured my position is not based on these circumstantial elements. They are a nice bonus, but not much more than that, in my humble opinion.
