Before We Start:
Before we start I would like to touch on two very important points.
Point 1:
Personality testing may not always be accurate, and at the end of the day, the person taking the test will know themselves better than any test. But, of course, this is only accurate after a great deal of introspection and research.
When taking your first personality test you have to set up in your mind what your reason for taking the test is; if you’re taking the test because everyone else did and not out of self-discovery then you will -possibly - get a different result from if you were taking the test to better understand yourself.
Another thing you have to keep in mind, and I have to admit this is always told, but you have to be honest when answering the questions asked. You should always take a moment to think about the question and then your answer and try to think of specific incidents that would qualify your answer. Also, keep an eye out not to answer with things you wish to be your personality or how you wish others would perceive you.
Also, keep in mind that the subconscious and the unconscious can play a role in one’s test results, therefore introspection can be very hard.
Point Two:
Be sure to look up reliable (NOT JUST POPULAR) sites for testing. “16Personalities” relies heavily on the stereotypical personality types, as in they do not give completely accurate results in comparison to other sites. 16Personalities’ questions are very much unambiguous, very biased, and simply put, they are very straightforward. The questions asked can include: “Seeing other people cry can easily make you feel like you want to cry too” and “You are not too interested in discussing various interpretations and analyses of creative works” and “You are more inclined to follow your head than your heart”, as you can see the questions tend to be very straightforward and the result you get will be quite biased. To further explain this, for example, in questions like the first one, if you answer “true” or “agree” to them you are very more likely to get an intuitive feeling result (XNFX), and many people have proven this true. 16Personalities does not fully perceive the concept of the 4 cognitive functions, it’s almost as if the test was designed by people who only have surface-level knowledge on MBTIs. Keep in mind I am in no way misvalidating the creators’ of 16Personalities knowledge on MBTIs, I am simply stating that the test could be designed in a better way to give more accurate and less biased results. Many may disagree with this because of the popularity of the site, with 518 million tests taken so far, 16Personalities dominates all other MBTI testing sites.
I would like to clarify that straightforward questions being inaccurate and leading to more mistypes is my personal opinion; if you are someone who has taken personality tests many times on many different sites, seeing the same questions in their most straightforward form tends to be inaccurate because it does not look behind one’s reason of choosing the answer. Again, looking behind the 4-lettered type is necessary to accurately type a person, therefore just judging if someone is introverted/extraverted, intuitive/sensing, feeling/thinking, or perceiving/judging is not always enough.
The sites I will include seemed to -in my opinion- layer one’s consciousness and perceive the fact that cognitive layering needs to be present for accurate typing.

Some of my personal favorite sites for testing:-

Cognitive Functions:
I do not know many reliable testing sites but again, mistype investigator was quite reliable in my opinion.

Human Know Thyself
Picture this: thousands of years ago in ancient Greece, travelers from all over would flock to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, eager to ask the Oracle life’s burning questions. The Oracle, a mysterious priestess said to channel the god Apollo, was a big deal. But before anyone could approach her, they’d walk past a famous inscription carved into the temple’s stone: “Know Thyself.” A maxim is…
