fighting a spider totem sounds so fucking futile when you actually spell it out, even with only two of their quintessential powers:

you gotta fight someone with reflexes and speed faster than light (evidence: can dodge lasers and bullets, and to others pov can often look like just a blur), as well a precognitive ability to sense danger and attacks anywhere from minutes to seconds ahead of time. This can enable them to intuitively understand complex problems and technology upon first encountering, such as diffusing bombs, so long as the situation they need to solve said problem endangers them. This ability moves their body autonomously and even knocking them out or removing their goddamn soul won't disable it. If trained enough they can track threats using it as a homing beacon, and know in detail how the entire day will pan out hours in advance to a near 100% accuracy (evidence: earth-8351 shows how powerful Peter's spider sense could become if he honed it to its full potential, the spiders have had flashes of visions before, and Kaine used to regularly have visions)

lucky for enemies, I guess, that most spiders don't hone the sense as much as they could
