Hello !! We're the Ronrono system. We have decided to adopt the label "system" in 2025 to make our organization easier. We're still educating ourselves on labels and other's experiences ! Please be patient with us.

In this blog we'll post comics and repost other system's experiences that apply to us. General reblogs about plurality go to @ronrono-reblogs.

We usually use we/us to refer to ourselves. If you can, use tone tags with us.

Tagging system: "#[whoever is present in the comic or experience]", example: #dog. "#ronrono system" for original posts (written by us). "#comic" is for comics. if the post's original and has no comic in it, it will have a "#written by" followed by "#[who wrote this post]". Like this one.

This comic only mentions different hallucinations based on sensory modality (which sense it impacts) but there are other ways to categorise hallucinations such as the theme of the hallucination or the severity of the hallucination

Hallucinations don’t only affect schizospec people and can happen to people without a psychotic disorder or any mental illness/condition

amnesia is this thing that always seems to be treated as this huge dramatic event that happens in stories. but for us, its more like a quiet realization.

you go through your day and you come home. someone asks you how your day was. you try to think back. nothing is there. you know you left for work cause you have an alarm set, theres gas missing from your car, the food in your lunchbox you always pack is gone, and your body hurts a lot. but the details are gone. the emotions that you experienced during that time are so faint it barely feels like your own. maybe it wasn't even you in that moment.

and someone is still standing there, waiting for an answer. and you say, "it was good." because well, you are alive and you are home and you are happy you are home. that is the only thing you know in that moment. you feel good now. so that is the emotion you say you feel. but you try to sit and remember what you did all day and there is nothing. you don't really know.

and every day it feels like your brain is just dumping memories into a trash pile. People tell stories that you were there for but you don't remember it. People show you pictures, so you must have been there. there is evidence. but you cannot recall.

you are stranger in your own life. living moment to moment cause thats all you can do. that's all you know how to do.

we began using the term plurality just around a week ago, and we thought we didn't have amnesia, but we think this applies a lot to us. thank you for sharing your experience; it really helped us, and we're sure it will help a lot of other systems out there

We're nonhuman heavy. We are 10 in total. We have a lot of folks represented by marine animals, but that's just coincidence.

We are also POSIC. We can talk to some plants and to some plushies (which aren't in our system).

To Newly Discovered Systems

It's really, really common for newly-discovered systems to struggle with certain things.

It's common to have a hard time talking to each other internally. If you can talk to each other, then it's common to struggle to know who's talking.

It's common to have a hard time knowing who's in control, who's talking to you, or who's in your head.

It's common to struggle with spotting or controlling switches.

It's common to struggle to get along with some or all of your system.

It's really common to struggle to believe that your experiences are real (even when you know that you find the framework of plurality helpful for explaining your experiences!).

These things are all skills. You can and will get better at them with time and practice. Struggling is not a permanent state or personal failing. We live in a world that doesn't teach you these skills, and you're trying to learn them anyway. That effort is something to be proud of.

Working with your system (and fighting off denial/doubt) gets easier the longer you've been doing it. You learn what works for you. You won't always feel like it's all overwhelming, messy, fake, or whatever other "I'm not good enough" feelings you might be having now.

The systems you see who seem to have it all together have had more time and practice at working with their systems. Sometimes, they've had life environments that gave them a head start in building these skills, but your life circumstances don't decide whether you can get better at these things. You can still learn these skills without that head start.

You might struggle with other feelings in the future, and there will always be something to work on, but the things that you're struggling with right now will get easier. The systems who seem to have it all together are still learning things too.
