      she’s eyes the k-ration’s EDITION of dinner & she’s never impressed. back home her PALETTE is much more refined. her tongue has tasted the LIKES of caviar & soufflé. she knows when she gets home fine CUISINE is something she’ll INDULGE in. veronica decides she’ll save the chocolate bar for last, her ABSOLUTE favorite & stomach the pork loaf. before she continues musing about her food, she NOTICES the lingering stare the blonde has on a certain jughead jones. veronica KNOWS body language all too well, so she’ll press the issue. ❝ earth to betty. i was asking you if you’d give me an EXTRA piece of chocolate.❞ its only a TEST, she’ll definitely get her aside for someone girl talk.

Archie crossed him arms as he regarded the petite nurse. The tent she shares with Ronnie smelled of the girls perfume and is devoid of the books Jughead kept stacked in theirs. He spotted her telltale pink diary next to her bed as he walked in.

 “Today was a one time deal Betts. We’re back safe in camp and I’m not letting you sneak out there again.”

Vanessa hadn´t talked to Betty much, but she had to partner up with someone for the challenge and Betty seemed to be competent enough to navigate her through the obstacle course. It was obvious that Vanessa was more suited for actually doing the course, though she´d give Betty a chance of the other girl really WANTED to.

“Listen,” She spoke as she glanced at the course. “I´ve done this before. Blindfolded. Also not blindfolded and with a soccer ball.” For a moment memories of the Freestyle Soccer Contest and Ragnarök flashed up before her eyes and Vanessa was quick to push them away. This was different. This time she wouldn´t LOSE.

“You can navigate me,” Granted, Vanessa had a few trust issues, especially when it came to people she didn´t really know, but Betty didn´t seem like the type to let her fall off the course face first. Besides, Betty needed her to gain a chance at immunity, so this would have to work.

Vanessa took the blind fold, giving the other girl a last look. “Sounds like a plan?”

Puck raised an eyebrow in Betty’s direction. “Ya sure? ‘Cause usually when I wake up in a chick’s bed, we’ve slept together.” He still had a killer headache, so the part about him being drunk was probably true. “Guess we’re just lucky your mom was at the conference or she would have killed me,” he said with a smirk. He knew how strict the blonde’s mother was, especially about boys she didn’t like hanging out with her daughter.

to say that the last couple of weeks on this island were…. disconcerting would be a bit of an understatement. archie could barely think straight with everything that was happening, everything that he was screwing up. he screwed up things with cheryl, he screwed up things with his team. considering the news that kept bubbling to the surface about.. certain people, he could assume he’s properly fucked over things with betty, too.

which was more than fine. there was nothing with him and betty, not really. there were some maybe.. weird glances, some feelings that were not very well explained or hidden. but hey, he had that with MOST people he knew. which was normal, right? he was a teenage boy after all, sue him. depending on who you asked, people would probably say he could have the same thing with jughead, even.

archie knew better, though. he knew that this with betty was different, regardless of what it was. he could tell because of how he tensed when he saw her figure emerge, walking towards him at the shore.
