As part of this year’s @deancaspinefest, I created art for @andimeantittosting's gorgeous fake-married casefic, The Last Resort!

This is the second time I've created art for one of Lindsay's fics, and it was just as wonderful as the last time. Every time I went back to read the scenes I was illustrating, I'd get pulled back into the story and didn't stop until the end.

Sigma Zeta Gets a Baby Brother: UW fraternity adopts its youngest member in history By Jesse Cuevas, Staff Writer

Dean Winchester didn’t expect to start the semester as a part-time dad, but when his friend unexpectedly became guardian to a newborn baby, he and his fraternity brothers didn’t hesitate. They immediately converted their spare room into a nursery and invited Castiel Novak and his nephew Jack to stay with them.

“Cas has a single dorm,” Winchester, a senior and kicker for the UW Badgers football team, explained. “We thought, ‘There’s no way in hell he’s gonna be able to raise a kid in that tiny space.’ Then one of us went, 'We’ve got tons of room. Why doesn’t he just move in here?’ So that’s what we did.”

This story is so cute yall!

College age Dean and Cas, their fraternity and family helping them raise baby Jack and finding out they love each other along the way.  It’s really.....*sigh* so cute.  I love the family and friends dynamics in this, the fraternity brothers make me laugh a good bit.  I really liked how Tess showed how difficult raising a baby can be on a person (people)  oh by the worked with the amazing @tessalyn​ on this, they were very patient with me getting back into things and getting through things while we worked on this.

I felt out of practice drawing this one, it’s been awhile.I think it shows, but that’s the artist’s mind for you. I used my usual, prismacolor markers and photoshop backgrounds.

Summary: It was your run-of-the-mill witch hunt. A few leftover hex bags, some missing kids, and an annoying brother yelling about research. Except, Kevin and Sam (and technically Ezekiel) were slowly decaying over some old books in the bunker, and Cas was right down the road, barely talking to him when he stopped in at the gas station.

Dean just wanted to start making things right.

Maybe that plan was set back a bit when one of the stray hex bags activated in his room. ... Maybe it was set back more when they realized that, while Dean was shrunk down to a couple inches tall, doing *anything* is a pretty terrible idea. But if they can somehow make it work, he's determined to do right by Cas.
