The Pink Robin

Scientific Name: Petroica rodinogaster

Region: Forests throughout Southeastern Australia

Size: About 5.3" (~13.5 cm) long

Interesting Note: As with many bird species, Pink Robins are sexually dimorphic; however, though female pink robins are a primarily soft pale brown, they are said to sport a pink tinge on their underside (..though I could not find a picture showing it. ^^; )

Do pink dolphins actually exist? Indeed they do. The Amazon river dolphin (Inia geoffrensis) gets even pinker when it’s surprised or excited. Freaky and fabulous, right?
