Liber Kaos: Conjuration One ~ Sorcery Evocation

This is a first in a series documenting me going through the magickal training program outlined in Liber Kaos by Peter Carroll.

Goal: the magician creates a fetish entity and empowers it to conduct their will. This will be humanoid in shape, and best that it contains some of the practitioners hair or fluids. The object must be spoken to as a living creature, told it is alive and given instruction.

Intent: To create a poppet to banish negativity, protect me while sleeping and enhance psychic dreaming and knowledge retention.  Items used: 🌙 Purple Fabric 🌙 Black Thread 🌙 Stuffing cotton 🌙 Taglock 🌙 Cat’s claw 🌙 Aloe Vera (powdered) 🌙 Blessed Thistle 🌙 Elderflower 🌙 Lavender 🌙 Chrystatheum 🌙 Damiana 🌙 Obsidian 🌙 Blue Tigers eye 🌙 Beeswax tealight candle Method:  🌙 Cut and sew together the two halves of fabric.  🌙 Undertook the Gnostic Pentagram ritual 🌙 Light candle 🌙 flip sewn seams to the inside, stuffed the arms and legs with listed herbs. 🌙 Fill head with cotton and blue tigers eye for mind.  🌙 Fill torso with cotton, taglock, and obsidian for heart.  🌙 Sew up the side of the poppet. 🌙 Face, pentagram and sigil drawn onto the entity. 🌙 Spoke to entity, “you are [name]. You are loyal, clever and brave. You exist to banish negativity from me, protect me while I dream and bring me knowledge from the ether”.  🌙 Meditated on the entity, drawing life force up into mouth, at height of focus breathed out onto the entity. 🌙 Spoke to entity, “You are alive. Your name is [x]. You are loyal, clever and brave. You exist to banish negativity from me, protect me while I dream and bring me knowledge from the ether”.   🌙 New poppet kept nearby candle until it burnt out. Repeated the Gnostic Pentagram ritual.

Questions: What is the guidance I need right now? What is it that I need to know that I haven’t been made aware of? 

Top Card: Stop mediating between people so much. It’s not your responsibility, nor should it be, to settle every single fight that happens around you. Some fights are not meant to end peacefully, and you don’t want to get caught in the crossfire. (Ironically, this card is usually very pro-mediation, but I received a very clear “STOP” feeling while pondering it. This one also felt much bigger/more relevant than the other two; the others are also important, but don’t feel nearly as significant as this card.)

8 of Cups: A journey of some sort is near; it may be close to starting, or you may already be on it. 

Youth of Wands: You have a goal in mind; though achievable, make sure that your foundations/pathway towards that goal is stable/sustainable; it would be a shame if you fell off the path right as you were about to finish due to unsteady foundations. Basically make sure you have the “right” kind of supports; though whether “support” refers to others, resources, or yourself, I do not know.
