Re: Sim Request

Hooray! @alexpilgrimblog and @caligulasreign both made Sims for me based on my request. From the preview pics they showed me, I can see the two guys share some physical characteristics; I might have them be related or something so I can have them both in the game. :)

@phyresimblr, I love Mo!! I had him in my Sims 3 game, too, I think. I’d happily take him if you feel like sharing him, but since this request was fulfilled already don’t feel like you need to upload him. :) 

@marvinsims, I’ve never watched Sex and the City, but I looked up that character, and he sounds like he definitely fits my description! Looks like he was a bit of a jerk, though, ultimately? Heh.

TS4 Crashing

Thanks for all your replies on my crashing question guys! It definitely seems like I’m not the only one with this problem. A few things in particular were mentioned:

New drivers - I did indeed update my (nVidia) drivers recently (something I hadn’t done in a year maybe), maybe this particular one is not very compatible with TS4?

New CC - I’m constantly putting in new CC (which I merge), but I do carefully check each item in-game before merging. I’ve also run everything through the Mod Conflict Detector, and there don’t seem to be any obvious problems there.

Cache files - I clear them quite regularly so I don’t think that could be the issue.

So today I played a little bit again (I’ve been trying to take pictures of my self-sim’s Halloween party for ages), and it crashed a bunch of times again :( Some observations:

I’ve been getting the ‘TS4 has stopped working’ error message while it’s crashing now.

It often seems to crash when overwriting an existing save file while saving the game. Saving in a fresh slot seems to work ok.

I took out all my mods (actual game mods, not custom objects and CAS stuff), but the crashing persisted.

Will post again if I found out what is causing it!

I have looked and didn't see.. I love your eye choice and skintones, may i ask where you found them? Thanks!! your game is very inspirational and right now I am trying to figure out how to install your new Height of summer mod. So excited!

Gosh, thank you! I hope you manage to get HoS installed. If you need help let me know (read back a few posts in my ‘Height of Summer release’ tag because I haven’t updated to the latest version of ReShade yet, and download instructions are a little different for now).

Eyes: I use Charlotte’s Sharp Eyes defaults by nyloa -- they’re available as non-default contacts as well.

Skin: I have a few installed, but I tend to use Gigi by chisimi (particularly on more well-endowed women), Apple Pie Gumdrop by semtexire, Ooooooh... Smooth (Defined Behinds) by lumialoversims, and Oooooh... Smooth Monolids by polygawn. I’ve also used moxi’s Xigua and Babychoux overlays, but the links aren’t working for those at the moment.

Skintones: I have installed The Other Side skin colours, by peacemaker-ic, and both 63 Custom Skin Colours and 95 Skin Overlay Colours by simsperience.

That was interesting to watch! and made me realize I haven't been building properly.... I can never get roofs right.

They can be tricky, that’s for sure! James has a great video on just roofs in general, too.

So cute! I'm a slow builder too. And by slow, I mean I can spend half an hour decorating a bathroom. XD I might be faster in TS4 without CASt, but who knows. Love the house though! :)

LOL, I think CAST made me slower, too - I could spend an hour just trying to find the right pattern/color combo for curtains! (I’m not even exaggerating :-p) I do really miss CAST sometimes, but it’s also weirdly liberating, in a way.  :)

That one time I inadvertently made Brad Pitt circa Thelma and Louise. Uploaded to the Gallery by request. He's CC-free (I completely removed my Mods folder and edited him before I uploaded him), but for some reason his "trait" portrait in the Gallery shows him with CC. He shouldn't require any, though.

I have listed Recommended CC below in case you want him to look more like my Milo (see here and here for reference pics).

Hi Jenny! :) The curtains in the living room are from the Adventure Curtain Set by Sims 4 Fun, and the curtains in the dining room are from ShinoKCR's Elegant Bathroom at TSR. The pictures on the walls are from Around the Sims 4, inabadromance, and Severinka@TSR.

I hate to bug you but i cannot locate that lot in the gallery? what was the creators name by chance... thanks!!

That’s okay, not bugging me at all. I don’t have Origin open at the moment, but I took a screenshot of it in the gallery earlier. I managed to miss off the creator’s name by some stroke of cosmic fail, but you can see the various hashtags they have used, so you should be able to use those to search for it.
