If your answer is NO, then you should have no problem with the casting, because you understand that the things that make Annabeth her have nothing to do with race. Or maybe you get that Annabeth’s struggles actually perfectly mirror those of Black girls and women in our society. Or your heart is just as full as mine is that a new audience may be reached by these wonderful stories.
