Day 13: Stars Sometimes you know *exactly* what you want to do with a prompt and other times this happens and you just gotta accept it.

Much to think about in regards to the Pale King's metamorphosis. He saw a land full of bugs so small and decided to become small himself. But still, he was a wyrm. He was no less able to dominate them than when he had looked as large as a nation. Was that body an attempt to relate to the bugs of Hallownest? Or, was it an attempt to make them relate to him? To believe that he understood their troubles, their thoughts, their feelings, when he was a being who could strip those thoughts from them like paper?

Just as he sent workers to their deaths in Deepnest, but never laid a brick himself; just as he sacrificed uncountable children, "for the kingdom," but never sacrificed himself; he was willing to give up the visage of his godhood, but he was never willing to give up the power.

fan theory

My fan theory on this was hornet and PK used to train a lot when younger, soon both growing the same attack moves copying one another, Hornet not having to train /that/ hard so she didn't grow up that much compared to her older sibling PK

She still trained a little which is how she grew and didn't just stay as a little buglit like ghost!

Maybe they both trained with the pale king/ one of the knights of the pale king, it could still be training with one another but training with the same person makes sense!

But my fan theory of both still stands i think they trained together/ with the same person!

Dad Problems

Since my headcanon about PK having crap eyesight seems to be well-received, I drew shenanigans. Not certain about the final glasses design, but I'm absolutely smitten by the huge, round look on itsy bitsy Hornet

Messing around with designs and thinking about anatomy/biology of these things

I'm obsessed over them, even more over the "transformation" thing. How could they all disappear if they could've "changed" themselves and continue living?

Maybe not all of them had the power to do so. Maybe they got crushed by their own shells. Perhaps they fought against each other and eventually wiped themselves out?

So many questions, so little answers

Okay, I have this idea for an AU called Envoidant.This is a bit inspired by another AU. So basically, the Pale King uses a void to create an artifact that he uses to feed the Radiance. He does that successfully. This artifact is called Void Maker. Using this weapon he has successfully defeated the Radiance . However, the weapon slowly starts to corrupt the King's mind. No one has a heart to call him out on it, but people are slowly beginning to notice. How much will this affect the Kingdom? Find out and see.
