Brainstorming the Chunnyik home planet! I’ve been learning a lot lately :) I think working on Lupus Automata has rekindled my love for science and making creatures haha

oh yeah also pegasus home planet and evolutional map
(please note i know jack shit about geology or like planets in general and i whipped this up out of what i could understand and it probably doesnt make sense)
generally referred to as Zeirid, its solar system possesses a central star similar to our Sun, and the planet itself is generally very similar in distance and axial tilt, but has slightly lower gravity. vegetation is commonly red or warm colored in general, especially in the hot tropical regions. with the relative closeness to humanity's old home they had tried to live along there with the pegasi, but it proved to be fruitless once it was discovered that essentially everything from Zeirid is either inedible or downright poisonous.
the three recognized continents are Khóig, Féythr and Zízh, with their respective smaller companion islands.
Khóig is a red tropical giant with a wet and dry season, with average summer temperatures of about 28-32°C in the interior plains, 26-30 in the tropical coasts and 22-30 in the subtropical margins. snow is extremely rare and precipitation often comes in the form of seasonal rains and storms. this continent is generally dominated by the Khurol, who were the first to experience human contact.
Féythr is a more majorly temperate continent consisting of purple forests except for the red equatorial belt, where summer temperatures can rise to up to Khóig-adjacent 26-30°C, though way more humid. the temperate regions average at about 15-23, with more pronounced seasons and possible winter frosts.
Zízh is the coldest, reaching into the south polar region at one end. the temperate core averages at 18-24, with the Zhechk peninsula reaching inward into warmer 16-22 temperatures. the Zízh south has dark, hardy vegetation and frequent frosts, with harsh minus winters and short cool summers.
I made a buncha Homestuck-style planets for my Phineas and Ferb AU, Summerstuck. I’ll be posting the rest of the planets in the reblog due to tumblr’s image count limits, but please read the image ids in the alt text for further insight into what each planet is!
Phases from the crazy moon ♡
Hey guys, I’m cooking something… A very slow cooked meal. In the meantime, welcome to Noman’s Land/Gunsmoke! Some months ago I made a post about possible exoplanets orbiting two stars that could support life, and which ones would be a good fit for Noman’s Land, and the overall take was that most planets are gas giants and therefore can’t be lived in, but their moons could! So, with that in mind, I’ve been exploring this topic quite obsessively over the past few months and painted some concept art for this lunar iteration of Trigun’s world 🌙✨
The post I’m writing explaining all of this is VERY LONG and it’s taking quite some time, so until that one is done, here is an entire day on the least inhabited face of Noman’s Land:
So basically if you lived here you would experience two “night times” in one day, since the planet would eclipse the suns during noon (this moon is tidally locked because I say so). I’ll explain everything in detail on that long ass post!
Edit: I’ve made another post with the details on Kepler-47c and my No Man’s Land!
Planet Quolcasaan, The Floating City Planet adding the details on the planet took way too long but was kinda fun
Saw a friend had a music-themed planet and wanted to make my own interpretation!
question for world builders who know how to create planets n such. i would love some help!
the planet i’m designing has essentially one big continent that encompasses the entire north pole. the northern hemisphere is primarily land until it hits the equator. the south pole is entirely water, while the southern hemisphere is roughly 60% water/40% land. i should note that the average surface temp is much less than earth’s, the land is usually at a higher elevation, and the axial tilt is less than earth’s 23 degrees.
okay so: would both poles have ice caps?
one is entirely land and one is entirely water. there’s also a lot of rivers that flow north off a massive plateau in the center of the continent if that makes a difference
