That pretty much sums up this review.
But in all seriousness, I loved this. I loved Play More the most out of all of the other volumes to the extent that I went to Japan just to ride the fucking Daikanransha myself. I’VE DIED AND GOT REVIVED SO MANY TIMES DURING THE COURSE OF THOSE THREE CHAPTERS THAT I’VE LOST COUNT. The BLCD delivered everything I wanted and more. I just don’t know why this wasn’t nominated for anything and it honestly pisses me off. UGHHHH. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ADAPTATION WAS PERFECT, THOUGH?!
I won’t be talking about the plot here because everyone knows Therapy Game duh. Anyway, onto the SUPERB VOICE ACTING—
I don’t even know where to start. I just wanna scream, bye. Wait, I’ll go with Ono Yuuki first. If y’all hadn’t noticed by now, my December 2020 log is arranged in such a way that I wouldn’t listen to the same VA back to back. December was quite weird seeing as my fave seiyuus had multiple works to be released in it. I mean, I’m not complaining

The devil works hard, but Ono Yuuki works harder. 💪 I’m confused as to why Ono came 7th and for DK Hajimete?! Excuse me, what?! The awards do be growing weirder by the year tho Anyway, again, as I’ve said in my review for vol. 1, this is the most emotional role I’ve heard OnoYuu in. Even when he bottoms, his characters are almost always cooler and calmer. I’m glad that he took Minato’s role because I really think that it’s a very good challenge for him. Also, he did struggle in vol. 1 a bit, BUT WHEN I SAY THAT PLAY MORE ONOYUU WAS FLAWLESS, I MEAN THAT ONOYUU WAS FUCKING FLAW👏LESS 👏!
Yo, you gotta understand. Minato is a chaotic bottom in bed complete with all the oohs and ahhs, man. Think OnoYuu pulling off Nakamo’s Ano Ko! I CAN’T! I JUST CAME FROM 303 AND THEN I HEAR ONOYUU SOUND LIKE NAKAMO?! UGHHHHHH. Also, isn’t this type of bottom kind of rare nowadays? Where my cowboys at??? I just don’t know what’s happening? How could we have Ono Yuuki’s best performance as a top, his worst performance in his career, and his best performance as a bottom IN ONE FUCKING LOG??? Cheska of April, what were you on to arrange the log in this way? You goddamn genius.
Taking the highlight of this review isn’t Ono, though, but Shingaki Tarusuke. As we didn’t really get a more in-depth look at how their life after their feelings became mutual in Therapy Game, we also weren’t able to see how Shizuma-kun really was like as a boyfriend. Furthermore, hearing Shingaki perform as Hara-san in Kanawanu really left a stain on his performance as Shizuma-kun and I wasn’t really into his performance in vol. 1 even though he did well and I loved the BLCD as a whole.
Imagine my surprise when Shingaki came into this A DADDY FROM THE GET-GO—
Eto Iro was the last thing I listened to in my previous log and I was left hanging. I did say that I wanted more from Shingaki, BUT I DIDN’T ASK FOR HIM TO GO AT MINATO THAT HARD. YO!!! Y’ALL GOTTA LISTEN TO THEIR BONDAGE SEX!!! HE HAD THE SAME INTENSITY OKITSU HAD WHEN HE DID MARLENE IN COYOTE!!! THAT BED WAS GOING TO FUCKING BREAK ISTG. Also, this is what I meant by good sound effects, unlike that thing they had in Titan’s Bride. If Minato still didn’t repent back then, I sure as hell repented for the both of us! There is nothing in this world I would want more than to be sandwiched between Ono Yuuki’s Minato and Shingaki Tarusuke’s Shizuma-kun. 😩 Also, DESPITE HOW HOT ALL OF THIS IS, SHINGAKI TARUSUKE ALSO MADE ME CRY WHAT THE FUCK?! EXCUZE ME, SIR. THIS ISN’T SAEZURU?! Guys, I just really love how get-you-a-man Shizuma-kun is. Sorry, Hara-san. I’m taking your title back. It was always Shizuma-kun. 🤧

THEY ALL CAME BACK AND WE EVEN HAVE EXTRAS!!! THANK GOD FOR SHINSHOKAN!!! I LOVE IT! MY TIME LISTENING TO THIS WAS SO CHAOTIC BECAUSE MITO-SAN WAS HITTING ON SHIZUMA-KUN! “So this is what Shohei will look like when he grows older.” *wenk wonk* STOP IT, CHEATER!!! Y’ALL DON’T THINK I SHIP ONO YUUKI WITH SHIMONO HIRO, ONO YUUKI WITH HIRARIN, HIRARIN WITH SHINGAKI, AND SHINGAKI WITH SHIMONO HIRO???!!! I SHIP EVERYONE WITH EVERYONE THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Also, it was pointed out to me in my review for vol. 1 that the extras were indeed part of the tankos, but as I only purchased the magazines, I thought that they weren’t in the manga. As you can see in the Play More magazine releases, Tiny-kun’s bit wasn’t included either, but his existence was acknowledged in the BLCD because the BLCDs were released after the tank release. Do try getting your hands on SuBLime’s official translation or the tankos if you want to have an easier time listening to this BLCD because it’s more updated/accurate to the BLCD. 👍
I FUCKING LOVE THIS. 😭😭😭 I have completely forgiven Shinshokan for completely erasing Shizuma-kun from Secret XXX. Everything was perfect! From the execution, immaculate voice work, and accuracy, it was everything I wanted and MORE. Also, even though Play More really is just 3 chapters long, it didn’t feel rushed at all. Do I want an adaptation of Restart, though? I have a very good feeling that it’s going to be painful, so I kinda don’t wanna, BUT YAOI GODS, IF THEY’RE STILL BRINGING THE OTHER TWO ALONG, MY BODY IS FUCKING READY!!! GET THIS AND BE BLESSED, EVERYONE!!!
