Fic idea: Malevolent x Venom Crossover
Arthur and John are somehow in 21st century (maybe Kayne dropped them there, maybe John just makes Arthur immortal idk). They still work as PI and one of their cases takes them to San Francisco. There, they find out that a certain reporter also works the case. They decide to team up. Ofc Eddie and Arthur aren't stupid, and quickly figure out that the other also has a voice in their head. Neither says anything tho, every time they meet someone like them it ends up in a fight. So they just work together trying to figure out what the others deal is.
Arthur: *trying to figure out which god Eddie serves* So, what's your opinion on cults
Eddie: *thinking Arthur has a symbiote* Triangle, do you eat people?
Anyway, they find the bad guys (it's cultists) and ofc it's a trap. So venom comes out, John too (we already know he can project himself, let's bend canon a little and say he can do that without endangering Arthur). They fight, Venom gets to eat some people, Arthur gets to kill some cultists. Then they talk about everything and exchange numbers etc. So now they're all BFFs and have weekly gossip sessions. The End.
Bonus: Annie drops by for surprise visit and Eddie has to explain why he and Venom are having tea with a yellow eldritch horror and a PI that they assured her is "a completely normal human, don't worry about it".
