Fushimi and Domyouji learning to fly helicopter. Their age difference are just a few months right? They were accompanied by Akiyama and Benzai since those two probably learned it during the time they were on Defense force. It doesn't take time for Fushimi to master it. He play all kinds of games back then, and helicopter simulation is one of them. So he knows lots of stuff with the buttons and the function. Domyouji on the other hand, almost crash the helicopter. Which one do you think is fit to be paired to supervise Domyouji? I thought it would be hilarious. When they all land the heli, Fushimi try to suppress his laugh, because the person who supervise Domyouji has such a sour face. I feel like Akiyama or Benzai, the one that paired with Domyouji will ask to switch partner😂

Imagine they switch off, one gets Fushimi and one gets Doumyouji and then the plan is they’ll switch for the next lesson. Benzai gets to start with Fushimi and is unexpectedly impressed, he didn’t think this bratty kid from Homra would be able to pick up flying a helicopter this quickly. Imagine this is before he’s been made third in command too, so the only reason Akiyama and Benzai were given for training Fushimi to fly a helicopter is that Munakata thought it would be ‘beneficial’ for him and of course everyone knows Fushimi is Captain’s favorite. Fushimi is only barely polite about the whole thing, obviously uninterested and Benzai probably initially thought he was getting the short end of the stick having to train Fushimi. The moment they’re in the helicopter though Fushimi is attentive and asking questions, and he doesn’t forget a single thing that Benzai’s told him. When Fushimi gets a chance to actually fly it a bit he’s supposed to just hover but he’s picked it up so quickly that Benzai decides to let him even fly it a short distance and Fushimi does very well except some other idiot in a helicopter almost hits them. It turns out that idiot is Doumyouji, and when that helicopter lands Akiyama is looking distinctly green and he practically kisses the ground. Benzai wonders what happened and Doumyouji just laughs and says he was trying some new evasive maneuvers, it was really cool how Akiyama-san took over the controls mid-air to right the helicopter though. 

Akiyama is firm that they definitely need to switch for the next lesson and before Benzai gets into the helicopter with Doumyouji Akiyama gives him a long look and then hugs him, as if he’s worried that he’ll never see Benzai again. He looks so nervous that even Fushimi is moved to ask if everything’s all right. Akiyama gets a nervous smile and says let’s just focus on our lesson. Fushimi continues to be very skilled and even gets to fly the helicopter in a loop around the city, Akiyama has this look on his face the whole way like he’s so relieved. He’s very effusive in his praise for Fushimi and it’s as if this helicopter ride has erased something traumatic from his memory. When they get back to the hangar Doumyouji’s helicopter is smoking slightly and Benzai looks uncharacteristically ruffled. He and Akiyama stare at each other for a moment and then Benzai gives Akiyama a firm hug, Akiyama pats his back like there there I understand. Doumyouji thinks everything turned out well, the helicopter only caught a little on fire. Akiyama and Benzai later report to Munakata that Fushimi is more than ready to fly on his own but perhaps Doumyouji needs more ground training first.

So far my only major complaint about DAV is about the voice direction. Like come on, what a waste of Claudia Black in the booth if you're only going to record one neutral take that has zero of the gravitas we KNOW she can perform. And don't even get me started on Solas. What did they do to my boy😭
