IS IT MAY YET??? . I usually love when months go by surprisingly slow and April seems to be one of these for me but GAH, I just really want to read the next Hobb book!? (it might have something to do with me accidentally stumbling upon what I think was a spoiler... I'm not sure if it really was one LOL don't ask...) . I'm now realizing how good it was to always be behind during the #plentyofhobb readalong because I was always able to jump right into the next book LOL

IT FINALLY FEELS LIKE SPRING AND I COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY! . obviously I couldn't help myself, and quickly dismissed my to-do list for today and went outside to read. . I started reading Ship of Destiny last night and am enjoying it a lot so far, just as the previous two. I'm also very proud that I finally managed to catch up to the #plentyofhobb readalong! (also: recent book purchases indicate I'm definitely infected with Hobbsession by now) . Hope you're all going to have a great weekend with lots of time to read!?

There is nothing more satisfying than a stack of books from the same series. 😍 I still have to wait a year for the UK mass paperback edition of Assassin's Fate BUT look how pretty! I absolutely adore these covers designed by Jackie Morris and I can't wait to complete this set. These books make up @therealrobinhobb's #RealmoftheElderlings series, my favourite high fantasy series of all time. You can read them as separate trilogies (with one tetralogy) but they're all interconnected. If you've ever wondered which book to start with and in what order to read them in, this post is for you! From top to bottom, they are: The Farseer trilogy, The Liveship Traders trilogy, The Tawny Man trilogy, The Rain Wild Chronicles, and the Fitz and the Fool trilogy. I know, it's intimidating. You're probably wondering if you'll ever read all of them, but I can almost guarantee that after reading the first two trilogies, you're going to crave more. 😉 This is one of the most well-written series out there. I'm 99.9% sure it has everything a reader could want in a book. It has fantasy (duh 😆), action, adventure, mystery, political intrigue, explorations of different cultures, religion, genders, diversity, strong female characters (that are not your stereotypical fighting machines), sea adventures (with pirates!), sea serpents, liveships (SENTIENT SHIPS), philosophical questions, romance, magical items, telepathy-based magic systems, and a massive serving of great characterization that will drown you in feels forever. PLUS DRAGONS in the most unique way I've seen them written. If I missed anything, my list should at least be enough to get your attention right?! Happy SUNday! We're having another great weekend blessed with sunny weather. It's cold AF but bearable with a blanket. . I started reading The Mad Ship yesterday (I'm very determined to catch up with the #plentyofhobb readalong, finally) and Crimson Lake today which is really good so far. Definitely has me hooked without much happening yet. . Anybody else able to enjoy awesome weather and to sit outside and read? Can't wait for this to become the new-old normal again.
