one of the things I cherish about Dungeon Meshi is how loving and respectful Ryoko Kui is towards her characters with bigger body frames and/or characters who weigh more.

They're presented as beautiful and normal, without ever crossing over into fetishization. It makes me feel so hopeful that representation and acceptance of fat people and fat characters is possible <3

In classical Arabic poetry, plus-sized women were sometimes praised with the expression ُخَرْسَاء الأَسَاوِر: “she whose bracelets are silent.”

This was not an insult, but a subtle form of admiration and coquetry. The image is delicate: when a full-figured woman wears bracelets, they fit closely around her wrists and do not rattle or clang. Their silence becomes a metaphor for softness, fullness, and feminine beauty.

The Mamluk-era poet Kamal al-Din Ibn Nabih captures this aesthetic in his verse:

بِيضٌ سَوالِفُهُ لُعْسٌ مَرَاشِفُهُ

نُعْسٌ نَواظِرُهُ خُرْسٌ أَساوِرُهُ

Her temples gleam in radiant white, her lips are honeyed dusk.

If you're anything like me, you've probably wondered if your F/O would be attracted to your body type. Well, I'm here to say: yes, they are!

I'm sorry people have ever made you feel like your body, your existence, is a "preference" that gets to be filtered out, simply because people refuse to work on getting rid of their own prejudices and bigotry. They love every curve, nook and shape! You're like a hand sculpted work of art of their very own, personal deity of love and joy. It doesn't matter if you don't feel like certain features could "look better" or be in "better" places, your F/O sees you for the perfect, amazing being that you are

They love how you feel, in their arms, their lap, holding their hand, kissing them, all of it! Your body isn't an obstacle or an inconvenience, it's a direct connection that they get to have, to experience your love in a physical, tactile way. Every touch, sensation, pressure and weight, it all feels just perfect for them, because it's all a part of you

They love the things other people demean. The way they're surrounded by warmth when they lean their head near your double chin or folds, the way you look like the visual equivalent of a gracious melody whenever you walk and your body sways along, the way each part of you is unique and gorgeously fitting of your figure and shape... There's not a single strand of hair on you that doesn't make your F/O utterly mesmerized

But your F/O also loves...

Your smile and the laughter that accompanies it. Truth be told, it's their favorite sound in the whole wide world, getting to see you so very happy and excited never fails to make their heart swirl and dance around in their chest. It brightens up their day every single time, like they're getting to see and hear it for the first time all over again

Your personality and quirks, everything that brings you together so seamlessly! They could spend days, weeks, months, years- just listening to you talk about every little thing that gets your eyes sparkling with joy and hope. All the details that only they get to notice as you two live through your days together, it's almost magical for them to witness

The way you love them, sincere and fitting. You always know exactly what they need, and you're always there to help them feel heard, seen and cared for. How could they ever not extend you the same treatment? It's their pleasure to reciprocate even a fraction of all the love and adoration that you make them feel with each passing day

Hiii, Welcome to my page!!

I do primarily write for plus size readers, but I encourage, support, and would love for people of all shapes and sizes to happily read my work

In my fics I use body descriptor words sparsely. So I think it would be quite easy to still immerse yourself in the story. But I am plus size myself and when writing my fics I do imagine that body type so I write it that way! I also heavily believe plus size readers/characters deserve and need more representation.

It’s a lot more comfortable for me to do that and it just feels more natural. But I do also sometimes use the word ‘little’ in comparison to monsters bc they be huge sometimes. Plus I think plus size people deserve to feel small in a monsters arms, feel their warmth wrap around them.

So please don’t be hesitant to check out my work because, not to toot my own horn, but your enjoyment is guaranteed :)

Plus-sized Misadventures in Love! is so sweet…

I think a story about a confident plus-size woman finding her way in life is a beautiful thing. It starts with her old self having a severe accident, losing her memory and waking up. But when met with her appearance, she only sees beauty. With her new bright and bubbly outlook, she starts a new life for herself.

I love how she dresses, she’s so fashionable. And I think more stories need to be like it. She doesn’t care what other people say about her appearance because she knows that she’s beautiful.

It’s about unlearning self hate, and embracing the things that make you different. Learning to speak up for yourself and not devolving back into self hate. And especially learning to love the body that you’re in and how you don’t need to change the way you look to be loved and accepted because you’re perfect as you are. I wish I would’ve had someone like her to look up to when I was little because this is exactly the kind of person I always needed. I see so much of myself in her and it just makes me tear up with how happy I am. I love her so much and I hope there’s more to come.

Blaziken loves its plus sized trainer and wants them to be more confident with themself. Blaziken thinks they are strong and that they've come so far during their time together. Blaziken helps it's trainer by doing training exercises with then. It also makes sure their trainer rests when they need to, because rest is also important.
