It’s real. First time EVER seeing a positive. And not even a squinter. A clear flippn positive!
14 months off birth control
12 months of serious ttc
It still doesn’t feel real but here we are :))
Dr's office
Ok so just left my gp, spoke to him and his wife who is reception/physician assistant (who is a doctor in Cuba, but still needs to re validate here in US like her husband)
(So they're both knowledgeable in medicine)
They have become not just our doctors but family friends
They are very supportive and optimistic of our decisions to head to fertility clinic. And advised me to be calm, relax, stop timing sex etc...
Enjoy my husband and proceed with what the specialist say. As for me i should keep losing weight, but in all other aspects i am perfectly healthy.
So i got copies of my latest blood analysis, ultrasounds etc... so hopefully thats 1 less thing test they'll need to do.
If anything im glad that i feel calm and more at peace. We're gonna do what we have to, to make our dreams of having a family come true.
Endometrial biopsy #2
I know it has been a long time since my last post. It has been an emotional journey.
We had our first appointment with the RE last month. He basically said that he cannot help us until my BMI is 45 ( current BMI 61). But I will give him some credit he did have me do 3rd day testing and ultrasound.
Can we just talk about for a second how uncomfortable it is to have an internal ultrasound on day 3 of your period? Your bleeding… You have cramps… And a lady is sticking a dildo-cam up your va jay jay. She had to search very hard for my right ovary. I decided the the right must be as sick of this shit as I am. She finally found it after having me laugh like “hahaha” and push on my right side.
I have the results back from the blood work but the doctor has not deciphered it for us yet. From what I can see on the Internet (because of corse I’m an Internet doctor) I don’t think I have PCOS, my thyroid has normalised a bit, and my testosterone is a bit low (even for a woman). I’m also pretty sure there are eggs in the reserve.
The only thing they did tell me was that my endometrium was measured at 6.63 and the normal endometrium on CD 3 should be less than 4. So this brings me to today…
My second endometrial biopsy. I was still spotting unfortunately and I’m sure you can imagine how uncomfortable spotting in stirrups is. My husband came this time which was good because I could hold his hand. This one I think was actually a little easier, probably because this time I knew what to expect and also because of the day in my cycle (my cervix was still kinda open). It was still pretty damn painful. I cried a bit and squeezed my husbands hand. He said he had no idea I was that strong.
Unfortunately the nurse practitioner is not sure she was able to get a sample. There was a lot of blood and she could not see if she got a piece. She tried 3 times and did not want to make me go through it again. She is sending it out to the lab and if there is no sample we will have to do the test again next cycle. I’m hoping she got want she needed.
Now I am just relaxing while my husband does the dishes and cooks me breakfast. Thank god for him! I have some cramps and the lady bits is very sore. I’ll get the results in about a week. Hoping for not having to do it again, no hyperplasia or atypical cells.

CD 72.... -_-
I’ve been up and down emotionally the last week. I spent some time with my best friend and her new baby and I was fine at the time but the next day I was just sad.
Sad that I wasn’t pregnant. Sad I didn’t have a baby. Sad it wasn’t me. Sad that I’ve been struggling. Sad that I keep failing.
I spent most of Sunday in bed. I think I finally got up and out around 4pm. Sleeping is usually my coping mechanism when I don’t want to deal with my feelings.
Then today I found out one of my coworkers is pregnant. We were all having lunch and some of the other people were asking her how she was feeling and how far she was now. It seemed that I was the only one who didn’t know she was pregnant. It really caught me off guard. It made me really sad. And that caught me off guard too. I was a bit surprised by my reaction to it. I think I partially took it this way because I was the only one who didn’t know. But man did it make me sad. This is the first time where hearing someone was pregnant has upset me.
I’m probably due for a good emotional breakdown. I’ve been off birth control since November 2017 and TTC since January 2018. I never thought it would take this long.
Well I have an acupuncture appointment for next week. Maybe that will do something.
7dpo
7dpo no symptoms whatsoever
Im trying not to get my hopes up or down its still way to soon to tell
Just noting literally everything so when I finally am pregnant i can look back
Not testing today
Im super proud of myself control. Im also in the PUPO mentality (pregnant until proven otherwise)
And im not gonna shatter that for anything.
1 thing thats hopefully i dont have any af symptoms except feeling fatter/bloated.
Another my husbands previous symptoms(and it could just be an old wibes tale but i dont care. Lol. He still cant stand eggs after an omelete made him nausea )
Also cravings & he's gained weight too..just a lil.
Dem Vitamins😍
This might be a TMI ttc post. Since cd3 my husband has been taking the fertiliaid vitamins for men plus count boosts and motility boost. Ive been taking my regular prenatal like always add drink a cup of raspberry leaf tea.
We both usually have a high libido. But i think me more so than him usually. And normally he already has high testosterone, but
Lately omg these pills are like a Viagra effect, im not complaining just noticing the difference. Also the semen is super white all the time, according to my google research thats a good sign of high concentration of sperm.
Either way today is cd 10 fertile "window" starts tommorow so we'll see.
Im so grateful, that we've have 6yrs of our relationship 5 of which living together soon be 2yrs married. That we've had time to enjoy each other, go throw major ups and downs and everything else life has thrown at us. And then our ttc struggle some couples would break...this is something i wouldn't wish upon anyone, but its brought us even closer together and im so grateful that our marriage has this foundation to build our future family on.
This is honestly something i never though or think actually existed, but thats just due to my dysfunctional family life and thats putting it lightly.
