Nobody asked but I wanna weigh in on the "did Jinu wear Rumi's bracelet or not?" debate for fun (and also because me and a coworker were talking about it recently and I wanted to type out my useless thoughts on the newest thing I like). Here's my two cents:
It may not look like the bracelet, but that could easily be explained by the angle of it. The charm is small enough it could easily just be hidden behind his wrist. To me, the biggest evidence that the bracelet he's wearing is the one Rumi gave him is that he's wearing any bracelet at all.
As someone who likes to draw, details don't just pop up out of nowhere. That line around his wrist didn't get in there on accident, someone had to make the active decision to include it, and when it comes to scene backgrounds it doesn't have to mean much, but when it comes to character designs it's a different story. Those designs are made way at the start, and they're usually pretty static throughout the whole medium they appear in. Characters don't randomly get a new hairstyle and usually keep to a certain outfit or style that fits their character.
Like I said, this isn't a live action show where the actor might've decided not to take off their jewelry that day and no one spotted it in time to tell them to take it off. This was drawn by the animators, who had to make the active decision to include that bracelet for it to be there. The only bracelet Jinu is ever shown to have is the one Rumi gave him, so the fact that there is in fact a bracelet around his wrist signals to me that it's probably Rumi's, even if it doesn't look like it. I cannot think of any logical reason why an animator would decide to have him wear a bracelet if it isn't the one Rumi gave him. I could be wrong, obviously, but that's just how I see it lmao.
Rarely have fictional characters ever made me as sick to my stomach as Jason Todd and the duo of Satoru and Suguru.
Like, respectfully, ripping my heart out would have hurt less than any of this.
Rnadom thoughts at work today.
Apollo 13 the movie is sort of like....I dunno. Conflicted feelings.
Like, hey so our space program has killed a bunch of passionate smart people is stupid ways and we keep hurling humans into the deadly vacuum of space for a nationalism and oops looks like we fucked it again and now these humans are also going to die in the uncaring void for no reason.
But Phew we barely saved these ones and it took hundreds of super smart people to do it and again there's way better things they could have all used their super big good brains for but we had to have them all work hard to do this instead.
Like...why did we do that in the first place? Like...it's a movie sort of glorifying how bad we kept fucking up and this one time we managed to pull a win out of our ass and also we can just decide to stop flinging fragile squishy humans into space please?
never put it down. never ever ever or it will be swallowed by the surface below it and you will never ever see it again.
I know it’s not canon (and doesn’t make sense) but Zuko and Azula dress the same in a lot of early season 3 episodes (rewatch with 8yo bro) and the idea of them being twins popped into my head.
Idk, maybe Ozai is secretly a sucker for twins dressed alike.
TW: mentions of suicidal thoughts. Tori in solitaire talks about how she genuinely wishes that she “forgets how to wake up” and honestly that’s the most accurate thing. I want to die. I’m not going to, nor do I want to kill myself. I just want to never come back to this world every time I fall asleep. I think that’s why Tori sleeps so much too. The more she sleeps the more chances that she may get to “forget how to wake up”. It’s hope in the most depressing way possible.
Watching them fight tonight I could only think about how great would be if they play Lancer, at least a special one-shot. I wonder which of them would pick a Horus Mecha.
