Ok, Wait, big brain idea just hit. A mainline pokemon game where one of your ally npcs is just a little off model compared to everyone else, their hair looks kind of gloopy and their eyes don't reflect light right. This is because midway through the game, they're revealed to be a ditto sent from the future to help you prevent the apocalypse, thus supplying you with Pokemon's first ever bad ending, that being all of Pokeopia. The good ending that you get just by beating the game, the ditto loses the ability to become a human because the timeline they learned that skill in no longer exists, and you get the option to add it to your party or let it slink off into the woods with all the other ditto
