The Guards: To the Call of The Writer A Tanakos Tale PT1
The transfer from the kingdom of Tirohita wasn't as jarring for Tanakos as it probably should have. The cell, as Yasuke called it, wasn't all too different from any palace or castle he had been in. Of course, not everyone was as fine with the transfer. The Millbrook twins for one were freaking out that they'd be late for dinner.
The supernatural expert, a Demon named Delphia clears her throat. "Ok everyone, listen up." Her voice easily gets everyone's attention. She points to the cage behind her. Inside was a monstrous woman. "This is the Arc Demoness Judgement Day."
Tanakos heard Thomas Marshall whisper to Jesse Evans, "Judgement Day? I've heard she used to show herself in the Vikings' minds and called herself Hel." Jesse nodded.
Delphia continued, "Our... Well, your jobs are making sure she doesn't escape until you're relieved of your position."
"And what of your position?" Another man asked.
"Please, young lass, call me Judas."
"Ok, Judas, my job is to help you Guards. And communicate with Gabriel."
Romulus nods understanding.
Delphia smiled. "Each of you," She stated, "has been called from different time periods by The Writer because He believes each of you have something you can add to the team. Yes, even you Mr. Reno.” She said, looking at TJ Reno.
“To the call of The Writer, then,” came Takanos’ gruff but caring voice.
“That is not what she said, you bloke,” Judas quietly roared.
Romulus spoke up, “To the call of The Writer? It has a certain flair to it. I like it.”
“Clear and concise,” TJ said. “And directly to the point.”
“That should be our catchphrase.” Dannette chirped, her sister Jeannette nodded.
“Alright then,” Delphia called out. “Let's put it to a vote then. All in favor of ‘To the call of The Writer’ being our catchphrase… uh raise your right hand.” She looked at the raised hands. “1… 2… 3… 4… 9 in agreement… leaving 1, Judas against.”
Judas growled. “Whatever,” He mumbled.
