📢 Urgent Alert: Emergency Vaccination Campaign in Gaza After Polio Outbreak
My family is at risk of this virus. Help them 🔗
Following the outbreak of the polio virus in Gaza, the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the United Nations, has launched an emergency vaccination campaign targeting all children aged 0 to 10 years. The goal of this campaign is to protect our children from this dangerous disease and prevent its further spread.
Why is this campaign needed?
During the war, the health infrastructure was severely damaged, leading to a decline in essential healthcare services and sanitation. This situation has contributed to the spread of the virus, especially among children. Displacement and malnutrition have further weakened the immune systems of many, increasing their vulnerability to infection.
Who is most at risk?
- Children under five years old.
- Children who have not received the full course of vaccinations.
- Children with weakened immune systems.
- People living in unsanitary or densely populated conditions.

What are the symptoms of the polio virus?
Symptoms can vary from person to person, but they commonly include:
- Flu-like symptoms such as fever, fatigue, and sore throat.
- Neck and back pain, which can develop into meningitis.
- In severe cases, muscle paralysis and difficulty breathing may occur.
This campaign comes at a critical time to ensure the safety of our children. We urge the international community to stand with Gaza during these challenging times. Vaccination is the only hope to protect children from this deadly virus, and it must reach every child in Gaza.
