Thinking about polyhats and betasopp again.

Specifically like, they've been crew and pack for not very long now and Zoro spent his last heat rolling around with Luffy, not really as something they Planned so much as something that just Happened and it was fun so they're both like "oh okay cool guess we're doing this now" and Everybody knows they fucked and they're all having Feelings About That but it's. It's still early and they're all still awkward and just because Luffy and Zoro are fucking now doesn't mean they want to fuck anybody else right like that would be. Zoro spends the majority of his time as the crews attack dog. He’s their swordsman, one of the first on offense and he never fully sleeps unless they are somewhere he thinks of as safe.

(There are damningly few places he thinks fits that criteria.)

It only makes sense then, that when those criteria are met, they take advantage of it- dragging him to lay down near them and rest.

A warm hand petting him on the back is a surprisingly effective way to get him to melt.

These are my simple guides to establishing "Zoro has tons of casual sex with strangers" in a way that does justice to that man

If Zoro fucks a lot of Men, specifically. This is About Luffy and not About Them

If Zoro indiscriminately fucks any willing stranger. This is about Kuina and not About Them.

If Zoro fucks 0 non-strawhats for any reason, then this is finally About Them

1-One Piece

An Au where almost everyone thinks the strawhats are in a poly relationship(not counting Brook, Jimbei and Chopper) and it is all because of an habit Usopp started by accident.

So, Zoro get lost in a straight line, right? Everyone in the band knew that but it was hard to always keep an eye on him until Usopp got annoyed and simply grabbed Zoro's hand before he could get lost.

Surprisingly that was very effective as Zoro didn't get lost despite trying to go the wrong way many times but Usopp only grabbed him stronger and directed him in the right way.

The others seeing this, started to do the same when Zoro had to go on the same direction as them or they were the ones nearest to him before he decided to get lost.

Marines, their allies, etc saw this happen so many times that they made assumptions especially as even despite the time they were separated they still did this.

Of course that those assumed to be in a relationship had no idea that everyone was thinking that but it reached their families who were shocked(let's say this is the reason why Judge choose to force Sanji to marry Pudding instead of his other kids) at this but most of them supported it even if it was hard to believe.

I just imagine people seeing how strong the strawhats are and how their relationship never broke despite everything that happened and start to believe they were relationship goals while said people were not in a relationship and had no idea everyone thought they were.

If they ever find out about this, their reactions and if they end up together or not is up to the writer.

I have no idea how to explain this but the only way Nami would date any of the Strawhats is if the whole crew is poly. Like Nami and Luffy don't really work like that unless we add others to the mix.

I agree wholeheartedly. Honestly, I started shipping some strawhats as poly when I thought about my favorite OP ships and I was like "damn, if Zolu and Sanuso are on top 1 and 2 I honestly think I should just make it a single ship lmfao" and here we are. Multishipper things. Also, I don't ship ALL the Strawhats together but I enjoy the concept a lot. My poly ships within the Strawhats are basically:

Luffy x Zoro x Sanji x Usopp

Robin x Franky x Jinbe x Brook

Nami x Vivi (x All the girlfriends Nami has. Perhaps fem Sanji. Depends on the context)

And somehow I always end up finding connections with other ships, so atp all OP characters are just a huge polycule.
