"polyminds just rip off our terms!"
You know what other experiences share a few terms with us?
Both alterhumans and systems may use nonhuman when talking about alterhumanity and or a nonhuman alter
Both age regressors and syskids may use the term little, little space, regressed, ect when talking about a age regressor or little alter
The agere community also uses the term caregiver for people who care for regressors, as well as the system community uses it for alters that care for vulnerable alters
BPD uses the term splitting for when someone is seeing in only black and white, the system community also uses the term splitting when an alter splits into 2 or more
Introjection is also not an exclusive CDD experience, it never has been, anyone can introject and I think it's stupid to gatekeep that term
Sharing terms isn't always bad given context, endos using the term system is a problem specifically because they use system in the same context as DID + their label "endogenic" was literally coined to mean "DID with no trauma"
Polymind was coined to mean "someone who distinguishes their sub personalities" it never had anything to do with DID
Polymind was never meant to be a replica or rebrand of a medical term, it was never a medical term and probably will never be, because it's a normal human experience that almost anyone can probably somewhat relate to
Polyminds have done nothing wrong and I will die on this hill and defend them from the hypocrisy of this community
