The day was quiet, still without the lingering presence of the red-haired siblings. He sent them off to downtown for supplies. A regular occurrence these days, leaving him almost completely alone. Almost. And that made the silence all the more heavy.
The toaster rang out announcing the completion of its task. Shadowsan removed the toasted bread from the slots, placing them on a plate. Just as always, he brings it down the hall to her room, his heart ever so heavy as he approaches the door. It never really got easier, even after months of this new routine. She never deserved any of this.
He opens the door, slow in fluid motion, bringing the plate to rest just before the bed. Carmen lay curled up in the farthest corner, watching him with wary eyes. They were never fully sure if she’s still there, trapped within an endless fog in the depths of her mind,or else they took her self from her too, leaving nought but a shell of who she once was, scared beyond belief of anything. She has shown no recognition, not of him, not of the siblings, not of Player. All faced with fear, with nothing but a desperate fight to get away from the perceived danger. And it hurt, seeing her like this. She has calmed down somewhat over the passing months, but never has any of her former self emerged from the ruins of her mind. But they haven’t given up hope. Not yet, and not for her.
“Carmen?”
He was met with nothing, no low growl from the depths of her throat, no scuffle back deeper into the dark. Just a slight tilt of the head, and a glint of something, something thought lost to time in her eyes.
@ltdice › “it doesn’t do any good to get worked up.”
❝ you’re right. ❞ words benoit would have never gifted another person, let alone carmen, but he feels all too free to give her the honours in this occasion. having lost a very choice bet, the pilot now makes good use of her hands by working through the knots in the detective’s shoulders, and he is making the most out of it. wearing a fabricated sorrowful expression, he leans back into her touch and looks up to the ceiling. ❝ i think i just put a lot of pressure on myself, you know? i – speaking of which, dear, go more to the left – know i shouldn’t, but i just can’t help it. ❞ he exhales satisfaction as she hits a good spot, prompting a smile to emerge on his lips. ❝ ahhh, that’s the stuff. don't be afraid to really get in there. ❞
carmen’s fucking monologue oh my god…
As I wish I could say today’s news is normal, it sadly isn’t..
Yesterday we found out my mom's dog Carmen has terminal breast cancer & only has a week until we put her down.
Even though I never had a huge connection to this dog like my own dog, this is just really sad & unfortunate and I am still in shock and feel so bad for Carmen.
Been trying not to think of this as that bad. I mean, we did give her the best life after rescuing her from a abusive household.
Well, at least her passing will be at peace..
Julio lived tho!! Cause he was smart enough to find a dude with a gun before finding the stupid white people.
Faking It 2x08 second promo (better quality)
this is the worst moment of my life
