TODAY- I am feeling my rhythm hard. If you all don't know who EYEDEA is, ya got a lot to learn. He is THE best underground rapper.....ever. EVER. regarding rap, Eyedea (Michael Larson) lyrically and MUSICALLY reinvents the game to a point where you hear notes and hints of rock 'n roll, hardcore, R&B and much more- in all of his tracks. At a time when I was broken and limp, Michael Larson changed my life and helped me to become whole again. LISTEN TO EYEDEA!
So I made this DIY air conditioner for $10. We poor people gotta cope some how.

POOR MAN'S MAPLE PUDDING or POUDING AUX CHÔMEURS À L'ÉRABLE
I'M THE FIRST ONE!!
For the first recipe on this blog I'm going to show you a famous Quebec plate. I probably don't surprise you if I say that this recipe includes maple syrup! Who doesn't know the famous maple syrup from Canada? So, be prepared for a very fat and sweet recipe, that's gonna fill up your body with a warm feeling!
Oh, actually I've to mention that I broke the rule for this recipe. I put sugar and cow milk in this lovely cake. BUT in the future I'll try to find something for you that is guilt free! :)
SO! What do you need for this sweet recipe?
For the cake:
1 1/2 cups of flour (I used unbleached all purpose flour.)
Pinch of salt
2 1/2 Tbsp of baking powder
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup warm butter
1 egg (I used a medium one.)
1 cup of Milk
For the sauce:
1 cup of Brown Sugar
1 1/2 cups of maple syrup
1 cup of boiling water
1/4 cup of butter
Vanilla extract for the taste (For me, approximately 1/2 tsp of real vanilla extract)
Step by Step Recipe:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: I began with preparing the «pudding». Mix together the flour, salt and baking powder.
Step 3: Warm up the butter for 20-40 seconds (depending of your microwave). Whisk with half of the sugar (1/2 cup). Add the egg and the other half of sugar and beat again until smooth. Finally, stir in the flour mixture alternately with the milk.
Step 4: O.K. The mixture looks very liquid... but don't PANIC! It's totally normal. Now, let's start with the sugary sauce: Boil 1 cup of water. After that, put all the maple syrup in, whisk together and wait 1 minute. Add the brown sugar, vanilla extract (if wanted) and the butter. Wait for 2-3 minutes until liquefied.
Step 5: Grease a glass baking dish 13 x 9 inch (32 x 22 cm) and put the «pudding» mixture in it. Drizzle the syrup over the pudding. Don't mix the pudding and the syrup together!
Step 6: O.K. Jade, it's look like we have a problem here. It's look like a disgusting maple no-bake soup. YES, I KNOW. But, don't panic! Everything is gonna be alright after 35-45 minutes (depending of your oven)! I promise! Wait until the top is golden.
Step 7: My grand-ma would be very proud of me! And your grand-ma too. If you have a sweet tooth. This dessert is THE-BEST-THING-IN-THE-WORLD.
Let me know if you tried this fabulous recipe! And don't forget to share this if you like it!
