I love new jersey stereotypes so much. As someone from south-central jersey, the most common stereotype is of people from north jersey and the shore areas. Most of us down here have phili accents. Lastly, central jersey is real and its porkroll not taylor ham.

Gotham City

As a New Jerseyan, I’ve always loved the fact Gotham is in my home state. But like...where exactly is it?? North, South, Central? (don’t try me, Central Jersey exists; I should know, I’m from Central Jersey) So obviously, RESEARCH. I’ve seen a couple of different options, but I actually really like the one I found here because not only does Gotham fit perfectly into Great Bay (seriously, look at it), but it fits with Metropolis apparently being near both Gotham and DC. The other option was like, near Sandy Hook which if you’ve ever been there...no. Can’t see it. Near Atlantic City tho? Reasonable. Soooo if you’ve been imagining them all with a “Joisey” accent like from the tv show...sorry to burst your bubble. That’s North Jerseyans. (I’ve literally heard one (1) person with said accent my entire life lol) But then again, this is fandom, go nuts, imagine Jason was the strongest Jersey Shore accent possible, I do sometimes and it’s hilarious.
