Una domenica al Wide Photo Fest 2017 in Milano, puntata 2

E veniamo a noi ora, anzi, alle modelle:

Organizzata dal Wide Photo Fest 2017, si è svolta domenica 11 giugno una sessione di model shooting con le modelle Tataina e Lupa sotto la guida del fotografo Francesco Francia.

La massa di partecipanti era cospicua e, dopo i primi timidi tentativi di utilizzare i 35mm e 70mm, ho optato per il caro vecchio Takumar 135mm f 2,5, così da potermi ritagliare un angolo libero verso le modelle, senza incorrere nelle tante teste assiepate davanti. 

Ovviamente, data la natura manuale di un simile obiettivo, la sfida era riuscire ad azzeccare il focus, oltre che l’esposizione e tutto ciò in velocità, dato che le modelle posavano belle svelte.

C’è stata anche una esauriente parte di lezione in merito all’uso dei flash nel ritratto all’aperto, con prova sul campo. Purtroppo, vuoi per mancanza di ulteriori settaggi in camera, che avrei dovuto dare ma non l’ho fatto per la lunga fila che c’era e la conseguente fretta, o forse per incompatibilità della mia Pentax con il flash Elinchrom utilizzato quel giorno, le mie prove di scatto ambientato con flash sono risultate buie. Sono riuscito a salvarne - in post produzione - solo una, qui condivisa.

Come dire? I workshop in model sharing sono una formula di approccio alla ritrattistica utile quando ci si avvicina a questo genere, si possono fotografare modelle di agenzia con esperienza, avere la guida di un fotografo professionista, il tutto a un prezzo solitamente accessibile. 

Certo è che trovarsi in una situazione one to one, dovendo personalmente dirigere la modella è senza dubbio altra cosa, con tutte le sue differenti complessità - soprattutto se il modello o la modella non hanno esperienza di posa, ma lo preferisco di certo!

L’importante, anzi, l’essenziale è continuare a fare quanta più pratica possibile e portare a casa prove di foto ritratto sempre migliori.

Vale sempre quindi il motto: Per Aspera ad Astra!
