Both characters here are OCs submitted to me so it only seemed fair to put them against each other. You'll have to go off of what little info you're getting and pure vibes.
Positronic is from an au of roblox game PHIGHTING! that submitter and their friend made. I'm not sure if the art is theirs or a submission.
Zanax is the submitters bee bard DnD character from a current campign. art is by the submitter from what I can tell.
For Zanax he came with a 2309 word backstory /recap of the campaign and I have tried my best to compress it into a few bullet points apolgies to the submitter for butchering hym.

Reason for amnesia: slingshot got targeted by a cult because they wanted to use his body as a vessel for a god-like creation and it basically obliterated everything that made him slingshot. after being transformed into a deific being he was killed by his loved ones and woke back up without a single memory from his time alive
Do they get their memory back?: nope! not in the slightest. slingshot is dead and gone for good, and instead posi (nickname) tries to move forward with his life and rebuild it from the ground up. he was born the day cursedshot (the stage where he was fully taken over) died
“Fun” facts: after living with his former siblings for a while he eventually moves out and goes to live with skateboard and coil instead!! it's how he starts finding himself :] one day he sees zuka's artificial gear shop and he's like "THATS A THING YOU CAN DO??? WE NEED TO GO THERE NOW" and after a lot of trial and error he finds the positronic platform producer and it speaks to him and he finally starts to become Posi!!!!!
ZANAX
Reason for amnesia: Currently unclear (ongoing campaign), though working theory is it has to do with Zanax being a sort of reincarnation of Tridayem/Vessel for his soul
Do they get their memory back?: No not currently, though through old diaries, asking the goddess of death, and The Cube, he's pieced a good bit together.
“Fun” facts: A bard and some sorta bee folk, had a panic attack and passed out on stage at hys very first professional gig due to a terribly timed nat 1. Has visions through the eyes of many diffrent people including hymself and has learnt yeah hy used to be a prettty fuckin bad person. Has died and been revived and apparently done a lot of necromancy in this past life.
Klingons take showers, but they sometimes have to bathe in a wormy ooze. They have this species of worms that helps them exfoliate their skin so kind of like a symbiotic relationship of sorts and they kind of have to stay in that ooze for alteast to 30 minutes to an hour. Maybe more. The smell is a combination of Klingon roses and some bad smell that the worms give off. They have a flehmen response to the smell as well so if any non Klingon sees all this its best to be on their way because non klingons can't get them out of that ooze for any reason.
Any positronic Android has to bathe in some really disgusting oozey fluid that's good for their bodies and also their bioplasts. It also helps to exfoliate their skin. This all stems from 2 types of silkweed flower which are both a weird combination of a rose like pod like flower and mushrooms which exists as a symbiotic relationship. There are also insects, called Alagos Aphid. This insect is naturally drawn to 2 of the silkweed flowers, it also produces a special type of saliva and feces which mixes with the oil. All in all if the fluid has not been changed or the ribosome or whatever, the smell of the fluid will elicit a strong arousal out of Data or any other positronic Android. Once when Data was on an away team to find more of these plants, one of the ensigns poked it and Data was struggling to not be aroused.
Also he can drink this oozy fluid, but he kinda has to poop it out and it's not a pretty sight. Also taking a shower with this stuff is not easy to get off so it takes Data an hour to get the gunk off his body.

Reason for amnesia: Double amnesia actually. Hajime Hinata joined Hope's Peak as a Reserve Student. Unsatisfied with lacking talent, he joined the Izuru Kamukura project. This succeeded, but his entire identity + memory was erased As Izuru Kamukura he spent years bored, watching the world burn as a Remnant of Despair. But then he was supposed to be rehabilitated via a artificial reality which erased his memory and Izuru Kamukura, leaving only Hajime Hinata behind
Do they get their memory back?: Got his story narrated to him in the game. He at least remembers most of it during the anime, but it is unclear if he remembers everything he did as with the other Remnants of Despair
“Fun” facts: Basically every character is an amnesiac except for the mastermind of 1 and V3, but Hajime and Rantaro, who have forgotten more than most others, are voiced by the same voice actor. Also, Octagon (Sorry I had to)
