Okay listen, there are a lot of fics out there where reader taking Daryl's last name when they get married, and I get it (who wouldn't want to) but. But. I could also see Daryl being so at odds with his family by this point and wanting nothing to do with them, wanting to just cut all the ties that remained tethering him to his father and brother.
So one day reader makes a joke about how they're basically married by now and she should start calling herself a Dixon and Daryl shrugs like it's no big deal and then mutters, "kinda thought I would take your name or something.'"
And he does. Daryl takes YOUR last name. Cause you're his future, his everything, and he's much more proud of you and the life you are building together than anything he came from.
I think once Shane grew his hair out (lets say to his shoulders) Ilya would look up and watch like little hair style tutorials on tiktok so he could learn how to do shane’s hair for him when he’s overstimulated
But Ilya didn’t need tiktok to learn everything, he remembers helping his mama with her hair. Her teaching him how to braid it and wearing his imperfect braids because they were perfect to her
And i can see one night after a long day in their living room, Ilya asking Shane if he can brush Shanes hair for him. And of course Shane agrees, so here they are Ilya sitting on the couch and shane on the floor sitting in between Ilya‘s legs.
Ilya gently brushing Shane‘s hair and them talking about their day just living in each other‘s space, after Ilya‘s done brushing Shane‘s hair he asks if he could braid it. Shane was shocked because he didn’t think Ilya knew how to braid hair.
Ilya tells him about how his Mama would have him braid her hair for her and how she would wear them even though looking back they were horrible.
He mentions how much he loved being able to do something for her in that time, how it’s one of his fondest memories with his mama. so he says wants to create memories like that with Shane.
And with that Ilya start’s braiding Shane’s hair, not regularly but more often than not and it becomes a way for them to relax with each other.

Maul, ignorant to his own feelings, is overcome with jealousy when he sees you up on the stage. But he’s cool, it’s fine, he’s fine.
He keeps himself in check. Lurking in the shadows in the farthest corner of the club just stewing. Never letting you leave his sight. Everything is going to plan, until it isn’t.
The target has the audacity to touch you. It’s light, just a brush against your cheek, but he sees red.
Maul snaps, your cover is blown, the whole operation goes to shit in a matter of seconds.
You’re forced to flee, racing through the grungy streets. Searching for a place to hide leads the two of you into a low-lit alleyway.
An argument ensues.
“What the fuck was that Maul, I had it handled.”
“You were never to engage with the target in such a close manner.”
“What the fuck does that mean? You blew our cover!”
“He touched you.”
“So?”
Maul deflects, offering up nonanswers to your questions, the argument goes around in circles until something finally breaks. He lunges for you, you prepare for an attack but settle when he crashes his lips into yours. All tongue and teeth, shoving every unspoken emotion, every answer to your questions down your throat.
The two of you leave that alleyway dirtier than you found it.
Was thinking about Stan's habit of grabbing his chest when he's scared and then thought about what if he did end up having a heart attack or something after Ford came back. Like, he's been stressed for ages and now he's gotta worry about Ford potentially getting the kids into something dangerous like he did and where he's gonna go after the kids leave and what he's gonna do without the Shack.
Maybe it hits him in the middle of tour or something. Like, he's been feeling off all day and looks kinda ragged so maybe Soos is keeping close and sees him go down. At first, people think it's part of the tour or some typical Stan gag. And then he doesn't laugh or try to play it up for money. So the twins run down to the basement to get Ford.
He's kinda annoyed that his planning time's been interrupted by Stanley's antics, but the twins seem genuinely upset so he goes to check it out. And finds out Soos and Wendy called an ambulance and there really IS a problem. Then he kinda disconnects from the situation. Like, he's panicking internally but this isn't the first major medical situation he's been in. So he calmly gets the kids (Soos and Wendy included) into Stan's car and follows the ambulance to the hospital. He's the one wrangling the kids while they freak out and asking all the questions to the doctors and nurses about Stan's condition. He can't take time to worry about his brother because he's got a bunch of kids to reassure and they're all looking to him because he's the eldest person there. He's an old man with all the answers in the universe. If anyone can tell them Stan's gonna be okay, it's gonna be Mr. 12 PhDs.
Except... he doesn't.
He doesn't know anything about his brother's medical history past the age of seventeen. Dipper's the one to mention Stan's medication and Mabel knows his diet and Soos and Wendy know about his boxing hobby and work schedule. Ford has a hazy memory about Stan chewing his way out of a trunk once.
He starts thinking about how Stan's the only family he has left. Sure, the twins are there, but they don't really know each other. Shermie and his son are just over the state line in California, but they don't know who he is anymore. Stanley's been wearing his face for years and they never seemed to notice. His parents are dead. Fiddleford is 30 years in the wind.
Stanley's the only one who truly knows him. Knows about his deepest insecurities and childhood dreams. Who knows his favorite books and comic book heroes. About his first disastrous date and the kissing bot. About how badly things had gone for him and been at his doorstep only a couple of days after receiving a single postcard after 10 years of silence.
And Ford knows nothing of the man Stanley became. Stanley doesn't know how Ford has changed. How he's trying SO HARD to fix his mistakes.
And suddenly being so angry over some paltry little machine doesn't seem so important. Ford's the one who built a doomsday device.
He's still angry with Stanley taking his identity, but what does it matter if no one noticed? Sure, Stan got him a criminal record, but he made one of his own in the multiverse. Their family has always leaned to the gray side of the law.
And now they may never get the chance to know each other again. 40 years without each other and the pain of potentially losing Stanley cuts Stanford so deep he feels like he's the one dying.
So he sits in that cold hospital waiting room, four hysterical kids surrounding him, and wears a straight face while his world falls apart around him.
If you lose your parents, they call you an orphan.
If you lose your twin, they don't stop calling you a brother.
He never learnt to cook because he was too busy in his youth when he was working as a virologist in Umbrella, and he sure as hell doesn't have the time or interest to pick it up now
Furthermore, because of his mutations, which has given him snake features like his tongue, his skin on his hands looking like scales, etc, not only do I think he's constantly cold, but his metabolism is CRAZY WEIRD
Like, he's got a feeding day where he eats A LOT and then for the rest of the week he just doesn't eat. This would especially work for him because his research requires little movement, at most he's kind of just pacing around and wiggling his arms
Anyway, since he can't really cook, and I think the stick is so far up his ass that he prefers eating at fancy restaurants, he probably eats out mostly
Imagine some poor college student who needs to serve his table. That kid is going to be so intimidated! Like this man is ordering 3 bowls of pasta just to feel full and a bottle of the most expensive wine (I think he tips good at least)
I think I need to write a oneshot of this now, because like imagine being the owner to a cute little Bistro or something and that bastard is coming every fortnight to the point you make him his own personal menu just so he can get a decent meal and pay ONCE rather than like 4 steaks and its just frustrating all the chefs.
None of the servers have the guts to serve him, so you, the owner, and the manager on duty whenever he comes in is serving him
Ok first of all I love pack mom Stiles but also consider Pack mom Scott. the both of them pulling a good cop bad cop routine (and if anyone has any fics where Scott and Stiles act like pack moms/parents together please leave a comment.). But on top of that I have a head canon that both of them learned how to cook together since Melissa and the Sheriff would have night shifts or doubles so they wouldn't be able to cook, so Scott and Stiles put their brains together and decided they both needed to learn how to cook to help out. That led me to this this small ficlet idea:
Its pack night and everything seemed fine, Derek was in a chair reading, Isaac, Erica and Boyd were huddled together watching a movie, and Lydia and Alison were talking about a possible double date idea for them Jackson and Scott, with Jackson listening in. It was peaceful until much to everyone's confusion there's some yelling coming from the kitchen. Worried they walk in only to find Scott and Stiles yelling at each other. Everyone has no idea what to do as this is the first time any of them have seen these two argue.
Derek moves in between to try and calm them down and ask what this is about until Stiles yells out about how he will not be disrespected about how he uses his dill. And Scott responding that Stiles cant use dill for all his problems. Stiles gasps in horror and looks like he's been slapped. The argument was going to continue until Derek suggested they just make separate dishes. And what a mistake that would be.
It ended with a cooking competition with Stiles making pierogies, and Scott makes empanadas, and the pack not that they're complaining are forced to be the judges. Only Alison and Derek have seen the two cooking so to the others its like watching an episode of masterchef.
Peter was in another room when he walked out he came to this sight and before he could say anything he's forced to sit down and join the 'judges' table.
It ends with a tie with Derek, Erica, Boyd, and Peter choosing the pierogies, and Alison, Isaac, Jackson, and Lydia chose Scott, although both agreed Derek's and Alison's vote don't count due to dating bias, but even then its still a tie. And they agree with the conclusion, much to the others confusion as they were arguing not even an hour ago. And after that night the pack added a new rule, that was to not to mess with or interact with Scott and Stiles while their cooking, unless its Allison and Derek. They would also learn this wouldn't be a one time incident.
saw a post by @lesbian-aunt (LOVE YOU TUMBLR TIA🥹😻) and it reminded me of a thing i wrote too a friend about frodo growing up in erebor. Obviously, he is taught both cultures, but sometimes it can clash. Imagine Bilbo helping a very young Frodo with his curls (if u wanna put an age lets say 6) and he’s helping him style them and whatnot, Thorin and Dwalin talking with each other in the same room, Fili and Kili js there to spend time with Frodo. Then, Bilbo speaks, “we outta cut your hair soon, little faunt.” The room goes silent. Bilbo takes a while to notice Fili and Kili’s horrified stare, Thorin looking taken back and Dwalin’s jaw hung open. “Cut his hair?! Are you crazy, uncle?!” Kili says, hand at his chest. Thorin and Bilbo would obviously talk it out (after a bit of old couple bickering) and then finally agree on keeping his hair a below the neck length and maintaining his curly bangs. And most definitely keeping his braids. That didn’t even need to be debated, it was an obvious. 🥹🥹🥹🥹😻😻
