I think this is one of my favourites of my most recent little paintings!
One thing I’m really enjoying in my landscapes is making the land and sky reflect each other, or kind of bleed together.
I especially loved adding little glowing lights to the hills that could be land-bound stars 🥰
I’ll be making this one into a mini print for my website, but in the meantime it’s available as an archival quality art print (with framing options!) on InPRNT:

Thank you for the tutorial, Bob Ross! I'm actually pretty dang proud of it despite having only used paint a couple times years ago.
Trying to find the motivation to write. I've already written 6 pages of the next chapter but every time I read it, it sounds like hot garbage. It's not coming out the way I see it or hear it in my mind. The dialogue doesn't flow. The plot is choppy. The emotion is missing. I know I can do better than this. I have done better than this. Ugh!

Into the Light of Things, ch 2
Rey hurried along the lane, hoping she hadn’t waited too long. Poe Dameron usually walked back from his office in town around this time of day, and she’d tried to time it just right so that she’d run into him. This was also far enough away from the estate, away from prying eyes that she preferred to keep out of her business.
“Mr Dameron!” Rey called out, relieved as she saw him coming around the corner.
“Evening, Miss Palpatine,” he greeted. “What are you doing all the way out here at this time of day? You’re not heading into town now, are you?”
“No. Actually, I was hoping to run into you.”
“Oh?” He adjusted his cap, regarding her with interest. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
Poe was a local lawyer, involved in much of the town's business. He was also a trustworthy man, and Rey felt confident that she could task him with this assignment.
Rey glanced around her to ensure they were alone before she took out an envelope from her underneath her shawl. “This is for you to distribute evenly among the tenants on my grandfather’s property.”
Poe sighed as he took the envelope and looked inside, seeing the money. “Miss Palpatine, we talked about this. This isn’t a solution!”
Keep reading ch 2 on AO3
To the tiny handful of people who read ch 1 which was a one shot at the time, welcome back! 😆 I changed the fic title since it was only based on the dialogue prompt before, and I also tweaked the end of ch 1 a bit so there was a better flow into ch 2. This is officially a multi chapter now, so hopefully I’ll be updating it again soon. And if you’re enjoying it and are looking forward to more, do let me know! ❤️ Thanks to @thisisartbylexie for assisting with planning and editing per usual. 🥰
