The Echo of Legends Part 4: The Silence now on AO3

Pidge loves Shiro but Shiro has changed. While on a planet for a mission she gets her fortune told and it comes with a deep warning that relates to an old Altean legend that Lotor tells her. Lotor loves Pidge too, but he sees Shiro as his rival. It all comes apart when the real Shiro returns and history repeats itself once more.

Chapter Summary: The final chapter of Echo of Legends focuses on the part of the story that Lotor declined to tell Pidge. The Tragedy of Sylesias - a heartbreaking tale of an Altean princess that had a forbidden love for her knight, and the Altean prince that loved her - could have had a better ending, but it didn’t. What will happen this time around?

Witch AU Pidge Edition

Pidge is the Queen of the Olkari

She grew up in a very relaxed home before the Galra attacked

She always was making a mess from her experiments

Her and Matt would create tree houses and forts and play war

The both can control the speed and how plants grow.

Pidge always used these skills to enhance her technology

Building machines

Creating programs

Matt close to  use his magic for more traditional means

He planted gardens

and created medicine

Unfortunately this period of bliss didn’t last long

After The Galra attacked

She was forced to study diplomatic measures and how to be a princess

She went from baggy shorts and t shirts to Poofy dress almost overnight

She had to cut her hair after a galra attack when a galra soldier grabed her by the har

Matt saved her but cutting her hair

Matt didn’t get out in time tho

Her mother (human) believed that she should take shelter in the Altean Kingdom, but her father didn’t

(he also didn’t get out in time (pronounced dead)

They found a compromise

She knows Hunk from several diplomatic trips but after the Balmera became Galra infested land she never saw him again

She’s met Lance a few times (not since the war started) but after recent developments she avoided him

Her mother still wants her to move to the Altean Kingdom

She secretly carries a dagger with her

Because her father and brother are brother (pronounced) dead she’s the only direct royal with olkari blood

Thus… the queen

Her mother still makes most the decisions but she is technically the leader

Unfortunately she’s too young to rule (16) do Her mother is forcing her into an arranged marriage to unite two kingdoms and keep her “safe”

She’s not happy about this

Medieval au!? I smell some forbidden romance and is that *sniff* some love triangle?

(Referring to this post) Yes! I love them good Medieval AUs!

So based on the prompt by @insaneworld21 in my interpretation:

Princess Katherine of Garrison is the daughter of the king’s brother. So she’s a princess but not next in line for the throne

Which means that when the Prince & Heir to the Galra Throne wanted a political marriage, she was the one they automatically picked

Katie/Pidge is very loyal to her people and family so she’s going to do her duty as a princess, but personally she isn’t really sure

To make things worse, on her way to Daibazaal, her escort, led by the knight Shiro, was all but scattered, leaving her alone with Shiro as he helps protect her and take her to her husband to be

Pidge is unsure of her feelings, Shiro is trying to be a good knight but he’s also unsure, and to make everything worse, when they get there Lotor genuinely really likes Pidge

Lotor wanted to marry Princess Allura, but he knew it was unlikely since it was speculated she’d marry the heir to Garrison (it’s a whole other thing, but Allura was the daughter of the King of Altea and a princess from Garrison before Altea was destroyed, so now she’s a princess of Garrison but not eligible for the throne either, and also not strongly related to the throne)

BUT ANYWAY THE GOOD STUFF: love triangle between Lotor, Pidge, and Shiro

Shiro is tasked to stay with Pidge until the marriage, which is several months away since they have to prepare for such a frickin’ huge wedding

And in the meantime there’s lots of drama

Pidge tries to sneak out, her hair up and dressed like a boy, and runs into Lotor/Shiro while in town

Ofc Shiro and Pidge also train together (but Lotor doesn’t know)

Lots of awkward dates while Lotor tries to woo Pidge
