Writers and actors should stay OUT of the shipping wars. Deliver your show and leave.

They can express who they ship (Dante Basco we love you) but DEGRADING and MOCKING irl fans who ship something else (EVEN IF problematic) is not it.

The audience is part of the creation of the show and they can ship whoever they want, giving it whatever meaning they want. This does not mean their frontal lobe is not fully developed (cough cough) or that they're stupid.

Just because of that thumbnail, I don't want to watch this video... Stefan isn't and never has been an angel; he's just as toxic as Damon, even worse in some ways because of his hypocrisy. And you can't put a show about freaking vampires, a story designed to play with morality and toxicity, since the characters are, once again, freaking vampires! You can't lump TVD in with TSITP, for example, which tells a story rooted in real life, our world, while trying to romanticize a character who truly represents the most classic toxic boyfriend that almost every girl has had at least once.

What bothers me about the talk surrounding Stelena's relationship being healthier than Delena's is that, well... it's not. Both relationships are toxic. Because they're with vampires. That's kind of the point anyway. But people don't recognize Stelena's toxicity because it's romanticized on screen. Whereas Delena's toxicity was verbalized at some point on screen. But never Stelena's. It's crazy how people can't think for themselves. Both brothers and their relationships with Elena are toxic in different but equally toxic ways, in my opinion. But if I had to say that one brother is worse than the other, it would be Stefan, because he deliberately played the "good brother" and the "good vampire." Whereas Damon, despite the horrors he's committed, has never been hypocritical about his true nature. That's the difference. And I say this even though Stefan is one of my favorite TVD characters.

When I see people saying that Stefan didn't do anything wrong except kill Enzo under Cade's influence, so it doesn't count... In retrospect, As a Delena fan I feel cheated that we never got a wedding.

These 2 were literately building in slow burn since the very first season. Their relationship and survived every obstacle that was thrown at them, they really did deserve an on screen wedding.
