You read a feminist history book or a book on the genetic superiority of women and you quickly realise that females are the superior sex. In every metric except brute strength. The history we've been taught is a lie. Our evolutionary history. They want us to believe we're inferior. That we were submissively, boobily, sitting in caves waiting for the big alpha hunter man to come home with a kill with all his manly testosterone. The culturally INGRAINED misogyny and misinformation is SICKENING LMFAO. READ BOOKS! PLEASE PLEASE READDDDDD.
[photo ID: screenshot of a tiktok with the comments open.
the tiktok reads "Has been on my chest for a while: your hate for math is just as much anti-intellectualism as disregarding humanities."
a comment from the creator reads "Getting to a point of hating something because you're not good at it, is anti-intellectualism. Learning new information is ALWAYS hard and a longer process one has to actively engage with, I struggled with studying languages my whole life and you never see me running around saying I HATE languages. Y'all will never fight anti-intellectualism when you're so willingly not trying to see the point here, that we live in a society of math haters. It's not an individual issue. And it absolutely serves its purpose keeping people more uneducated to uphold capitalism."

I have never liked Remadora. It’s not even just because Wolfstar is my one true paring, though I will admit it does contribute. I will preface this by saying that even though I am a Marauders fan now and very rarely interact with the Golden era anymore, but when I did Tonks was always one of my favourite characters. This contributes to my main reasons actually lying with Tonks’ well being and the subversion of her character.
It is made very clear that Tonks doesn’t like being referred to by her first name, yet when they get together he calls her a variation of her first name, Dora. Additionally, it is established that Tonks hair is colourful when she is doing well, it turning a mousy brown when depressed, yet once her and Remus get together, it remains that colour. This is all without mentioning the tremendous age gap.
I seriously think that Remadora was a giant cop out from she who must not be named, she recognised that she accidentally made queer coded characters, killed Sirius, married the other two, making Tonks conform in the process. Made her less gender non conforming, made her get in a heterosexual relationship, one that “fixed” her.
She who must not be named quite literally made a character who is a shape shifter, who has extremely bright coloured hair, who doesn’t like to be called by her feminine first name, who is quite androgynous, and tell me that she is not a queer coded character. Tell me that the character whose condition is a metaphor for HIV and had such homoerotic tension with his best friend that the actor thought he was playing a gay man is not a queer coded character. Tell me that the character who got ran away from home because he felt so unaccepted in his house because he was not a wizard bigot, doesn’t reflect the experience of many queer people. Also I remember that the books also mention him not paying mind to any of the girls. But no apparently the only queer characters in Harry Potter are Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
Remadora butchers Tonks’ character, the fact that it “gets in the way” of Wolfstar is only an afterthought of why I hate Remadora. I hate JKR, her transphobic, homophobic, racist, aphobic beliefs, I shall continue to oppose her.
One of my favorite things about theaters is that they are basically out of the reach of censorship. There are things happening on those stages which could never be presented on a screen. I mean ideas, opinions and criticisms. Go to the theater if you can, don't settle for anything sterile, polished and controlled.
i love intellectual blogs on tumblr, and people, people who actually understand stuff whether its books or art and they delve so deep into the meaning of it, the essence of it, that its truly breathtaking to read about it. like u could be talking about the issues 16th century furniture created the modern world and i would actually be so interested by that. just the fact that you have this desire to know, to understand exactly what the author meant, trailing between the lines, the whispers of what the artist meant to convey to the world. i love people who like to think deep and immerse themselves. art is what makes us feel, love, think and create; art is what makes us humans after all.
