Share with me your least favorite ship dynamics and why!

I'll go first: My least favorite ship dynamic has to be the opposites attract trope. It's so overplayed and I've seen it used as a lazy excuse of a ship so many times. Like, when it's done right, it's beautiful! It's gorgeous! You love to see it! But when it's done wrong, it feels like a relationship is simply being forced. It's most infuriating when done in the canon source. When the creator makes two characters and tries to ship them for the sake of fan appeal and you can tell they're just trying to play into the popular trope because they think it will work. They think by make two polar opposite characters kiss that the fan base will magically go gaga over it. It's the worst! But, like I said, when it's done right, with the time and energy put into both the writing of the characters and the writing of their relationship, it is a beautiful thing! I've just seen too much bad representation for me to like it anymore. I feel like there are just so many other ship dynamics for me too love that the opposites attract dynamic has become lowest man on the totem pole for me. But, this is just my opinion. If you LOVE the opposites attract dynamic, slay! I love that for you! Don't let my opinions get you down! ❤️

14 days of cupid's arrows - day 7: at home, literally and metaphorically

Sukuna knew he wasn’t easy to live with.

He’s always been very particular about having his own space. Growing up his parents even joked that the only reason Sukuna was born first was because he had grown sick of sharing his mother’s womb with his brother. It was what caused their earliest fights growing up – Yuuji often failed to live up to Sukuna’s high standard – and a big factor to why Sukuna moved out so early.

Sukuna thrived on control and demanded order in his living space. Which is why he was surprised when he found himself offering for Eve to move in with him when they needed a place to live. And even more surprised when it went well.

It wasn’t an easy transition, moving rarely is, as the 2 had to get used to the other’s living habits.

Eve prefers playing music throughout the day. While they shower and get ready for the day, as they work through their studies and even when they’re doing the dishes. But the conflict was settled before Sukuna could even put up a fuss. Within the first week, Eve approached him about it. They explained their issues with wearing headphones for prolonged periods of time and offered to only play their music out loud during certain hours that Sukuna could choose.

And although he glared at them the entire time they spoke, Sukuna agreed.

Because as much as he tried to convince himself otherwise Sukuna didn’t mind making changes to his routine for Eve. He actually tolerated, almost enjoyed, having them around so often. Maybe he had grown fond of his dorky roommate. Looked forward to seeing their puffy face after they woke up as they sleepily rambled about their latest dream - Eve is always most chatty with him when they were weighed down by their need for sleep.

Or maybe it was because Eve was low maintenance.

They had been so grateful when Sukuna offered them a place to stay, claiming he was “a lifesaver” and promising he “wouldn’t regret it”. Sukuna often wondered if Eve was usually this agreeable when it came to living with others or if they were on their best behavior around him. He could tell he made them nervous with his intense stares and close proximity and wanted to see how far he could push.

They didn’t mind doing the dishes, and often completed them before Sukuna could realise any were dirty. And they made good habit of doing their share of chores around the house. Sukuna eventually found himself implementing more and more rules in hopes for some pushback, each more suffocating than the last, to find their limit. But they bended to his whim like a tree in a storm.

They didn’t complain about not being allowed to have their friends over, even when Sukuna’s rowdy friends stayed late into the night. They didn’t argue when Sukuna gave them a list of certain foods not they couldn’t cook around him because of the smell – they would even message him in advance apologizing about any lingering smells while he as out of the house!

Surprisingly their breaking point was much simpler than that. And Sukuna had reached it without actively trying as Eve approached him one night to make their first request since moving in.

“Can we please lower the glasses? I know you have a particular way of doing things but I’m getting sick of climbing a chair just for a glass of water in the middle of the night. It’s such a hassle.”

Sukuna raised his brows, expression unimpressed as his eyes bore into his much smaller roommate standing before him. “Then stop drinking in the middle of the night. You’re pissing too much at night anyway.”

A part of him cheered internally at the way Eve’s eye twitched ever so slightly at his words. But their lips stayed in their nervous smile that they had whenever they spoke to him. “My bad, I’ll work on that. But it’s not about when I’m drinking. It’s about the fuck I have to climb fucking Everest to reach your shelves. I understand you were blessed with a godlike stature, but I’m not built like that.”

“Have you considered investing in heels?”

Sukuna smirked at the immediate drop of Eve’s face. “To use in the kitchen? Why would I- Don’t be like that Sukuna?”

“Like what?”

“A dick! I mean, I don’t as for much and not to toot my own horn but I’m a pretty good roommate! It’s just this one small thing.”

“If you don’t like it,” his drank in the way he had them pinned to the spot with just his voice, “You can find somewhere else to live.”

Sukuna allowed his lips to stretch into a grin as Eve dropped their annoyed glare his chest, unable to maintain his brutal gaze. “You got a problem with that?” Their eyes squeezed shut as Eve forced a huff of air through their nose, before meeting Sukuna’s eyes once more. “Nope,” they layered as much politeness into their tone as they could muster before walking past him. “Sorry to bother you.”

Once Eve had stormed out of the apartment Sukuna silently moved to the kitchen where he began lowering all the glasses, mugs and any other commonly used utensils to a shelf within their reach.

Imagine your f/o after a long makeout session. The sparkle of their eyes as they stare at you in love and awe, holding onto you desperately as if you’ll float away. Lips parted only slightly, seeming to want to form words but lacking a voice, breath-taken. Put your hands to their jaw, and slowly, sweetly, scatter kisses across their cheeks and nose. Watch them melt. Hear them sigh, hear them hum happy in their throat as they stroke up and down your arms. Their body completely lax under you, absolutely in heaven, showered in your affection .
