So according to 6x16, Malcolm Merlyn a.k.a. Mr. “let’s make a ‘natural’ disaster” was born on October 13th, which just happens to be the International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction (it used to be only natural disaster, so I was wondering if an artificially-induced earthquake counts, but they changed it to include all disasters at some point apparently - so it definitely counts).

As it happens, he also killed his son (and 502 others) on May 15th, the International Day of Families. Theme of the year? “Advancing Social Integration and Intergenerational Solidarity”. More fun: the Day of Families was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1993, which is (most probably) the year of Rebecca Merlyn’s murder.

I’m really busy right now but I just had to point this out today.
