We think it's a particularly bad sign that the executive leadership of the governments of Russia, the People's Republic of China, and the United States of America all agree that doing this is a good idea because of how knee-deep they are in reactionary and bioessentialist politic, even if they aren't currently able to get away with directly arresting people for this. Please don't keep quiet about this. Oklahoma's state legislature is attempting to pass laws to ban creating or having any sort of pornography in the same bill where they also are trying to ban trans people or anyone not conforming to patriarchic norms from existing in public at all get rid of no-harm divorce (i.e. divorce that doesn't need to have charges pressed to justify it), the latter two of which is a flagrant violation of the freedom from sex discrimination amendment in the Constitution (like so much of what the Republicans try to do anyway), and the former well, is protected by the First Amendment, and (and no we don't have a double standard here, it isn't as an entire category hate speech), so... we get the feeling the ACLU and advocacy orgs are going to be very busy.

We feel for the people in PRoC and Russia who do not have as much of a hard-fought for legal framework to back them up. The world cannot stand by while repressive elements in these three countries continue to lash out to justify empire

i wish i could say yes but honestly... probably not

the thing about prince of cats is that i outlined it in its entirety before season two was even ANNOUNCED, and the reveal that gabriel is hawk moth actually completely ruins a bunch of the major plot in the chapters that didn't get written

while i was always convinced gabriel and hawk moth were one in the same, the ability to choose for fics whether i wanted them to be or not provided me with a lot more flexibility in my plots

i think making the story work with gabriel as hawk moth would be INCREDIBLY awkward and stilted and not something i'd be happy with, but i also truly don't want to go down a route where i just say "this is an au hawk moth is just some other dude" because the fact that gabriel IS hawk moth has. you know. a massive effect on how we look at his and adrien's relationship

which stinks because it IS my vibe, but not like this. i've actually kind of been thinking of removing it from ao3 entirely and reworking it as an original piece because i am happy with it as cheesy as it is, but it just doesn't really work for ml anymore
