Day 12: Dear Amphibia, thanks for being a great show with lots and lots of funny, emotional and interesting moments. This show is the only reason I even have a Tumblr account and what’s even more, this show is the thing that got me into drawing again after two years of almost drawing nothing. So thank you!!! I’m really looking forward to true colors this saturday and to everything else there is yet to come!!!

Procrastination... I don’t even know where to start. I have a reaaaaly huge problem with procrastinating. Whether missing half my online lecture because I’m scrolling through Instagram or not being able to concentrate on studying for more than 10 minutes because I’m somehow distracted. It’s just horrible, but I think the problem is, that in school I never really had to study and now in university I just don’t know how to because I never learned it. But I’m trying my best to change!

At the moment I’m trying out some focus timers that block my wifi signal on my phone while I study, which already helps me focusing and ignoring my phone more. Nevertheless I need more time to figure out if this is a good method for me. Something I also changed is taking more fancy notes, like in the picture above. It’s a lot of fun, but it still feels like some sort of procrastination because it takes a lot more time than just writing normal notes and I could be much faster if I would just write normal notes again. But I love looking at my fancy notes, so I will continue, I guess I just have to invest some more time then.

Niche Socks and Study Blocks

I have entered week two of my isolation period - so far no symptoms to record, yay! However, I must admit being stuck in my house may be starting to get to me - I’ve started exercising to deal with the lack of outdoor excursions? On a positive note, I ordered more novelty socks and they arrived, so please do take a moment to enjoy the egg socks. 

Productivity can be difficult to manage at the best of times, the more pressure we feel and the more limitations that are imposed on our lives, the harder it becomes to complete simple tasks. A simple essay that could take a couple of hours can stretch into a three day marathon when you’re given deadlines, slow wifi or cannot see your friends to vent about the teachers choice of question for the essay. It sucks, but that doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t go away. We have to persevere, and I know you can, you just need to remind yourself of who you are. I promise you, you’re more than capable of completing that essay; you’re going to smash revising for that exam; that recital you have been stressing over? You’re going to fly through it. You have to be your own cheerleader, pompoms and all.

I think I'm at phase in which no one can get me outside. Bed, netflix, fat blunts and carbs. Procrastinating at all the must-do's.

Daily #2,187! So... the usual, really.

Deadlines are stressing me to the point of paralysis. So I procrastinated on 3 things that need to get done and realized while I was procrastinating on one task, I was being productive in one of the other 2. I let myself go instead of fighting and discovered the Flow Knows. My new study hack is Prodcutive Procrastination. It might not get done intentionally or in the order I planned but damn it, it's getting done.
