guys my mom is so fucking funny

so I came downstairs from my room and sit on the couch with my mom and she’s watch X-Men (the first one). All most always whenever I talk about Magneto or Prof. X, I always make a joke about how they went from lovers to enemies and that Magneto is trying to get his ex-bf’s attention (helps a lot that the actor who plays magneto is actually gay irl). After a few minutes into watching it he movie I say that Magneto is trying to get Prof. X’s attention again. My mom replies with “Yeah the 2 ex-boyfriends are fighting and one of them is trying to kill a very cute bear.” SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT WOLVERINE!!!!!!!!!

so what im understanding is that Magneto is supposed to be an emphasis on action and Prof. X is supposed to be an emphasis on community, and we need a healthy balance of both in order to enact change, but we lost the plot with that messaging somewhere along the line
