A legal travesty
Hello Jumblr. Sorry to step into your space uninvited, as a goy I try not to do that, but this is something that needs to be spread, and if any of you have familly in France, I will ask that you please share this with them. I'm sure many of you remember the fact that a judgement was slated to be passed on an Algerian nanny that had poisonned her Jewish employers. Two and a half FUCKING YEARS. Wanna know what the maximum sentencing for that kind of action is ?

That's already bad enough, but the judge didn't even uphold the accusation of antisemitism. Yes, you read that right, it wasn't upheld.
the woman said that Jews have "wealth and power", and that she "never should have worked for a Jewess", and she didn't even contest those words - she even fucking REPEATED THEM AT THE TRIAL - and ... they weren't considered receivable as evidence. Because it happened "several weeks later" and the words were recorded by a copwithout a lawyer present. Fun fact : she said that during a police search. I haven't seen anything saying the lawyer has to be there during a search. In fact I saw an article on a lawyer-focused sight saying there's no obligation of the lawyer being there.
So why, pray fucking tell, is it not receivable as evidence ? What manner of absurd legal contortion allows THAT ?
And mind you, the REST of the evidence of her antisemitism is apparently getting glossed over, including public facing social media posts, harassment of the kids about Judaism and her hitting the mezuza several times.
Apparently, when it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, looks like a duck and acts like a duck, the judge can still find bullshit reasons to not call it a duck.
Oh but don't you worry, she's also told she can't enter France for 5 whole years, which I am sure she will not do considering she was already ignoring an order to fucking leave. No way she wouldn't respect that particular court order.
France has failed its Jewish population over the last 40+ years by failing to address rising antisemitism, and it seems our institutions are ever more dedicated to failing Jews in new and creative ways.
The family's lawyer says justice has not been delivered, and he is right. This is a travesty.
And this is why I'm asking you to tell any familly you have in France : they need to know that France is not safe for Jews, that our very justice system is warping the rightful application of the law to deny the antisemitic character of crimes. If they get hatecrime'd, the judge will find ways to go easy on their aggressors.

Services de sécurité renforcés ou Aliyah, le choix est le votre, mais je vous implore de vous protéger, parce qu'apparemment, notre état n'est pas foutu capable de le faire.
