Sun was putting away toys when Moon started shouting in their shared headspace. He was about to ask him why he was yelling so much when he heard you gasp, and there was a click. He turned slowly and saw you with your hands up, your pulse high, and a choked sob escaped you. There was a gun pointed right at your forehead. The guy doing this was yelling something at your quivering form. Sun heard Moon beg to turn off the lights so he could handle it, but Sun couldn't do that. He shut Moon out, something he hasn't done since the virus. Sun, despite being one tall animatronic, moved silently up behind the guy. He saw your eyes flick to him. "Close your eyes, sunshine." He told you, voice soft. The guy with the gun turned quickly to face Sun, and as soon as you closed your eyes tightly, his hand moved to the guy's face, grabbing it hard. The guy let out a sound, but Sun didn't care. He slammed the guy's face into the desk and managed to get the gun, crushing it in his hand, before grabbing the guy again, but from the scruff. The guy was wailing, but Sun did not care. The guy was begging, but Sun did not care. Sun pinned the guy to the wall, away from you. "You're lucky, friend." His voice was ice-cold, robotic yet mad. "You're lucky im not permitted to kill." The guy let out a shuddering breath through his bloody mouth and crooked nose. Sun carried the guy by the shirt's collar out of the daycare and to some security guards who didn't say a word to Sun. Just nodded and took the guy away from him. When Sun was sure they had left, he hurried back to the daycare to see you still standing at the desk, shaking, eyes closed, and sobbing. He stepped closer to you. "It's us," he said softly, letting Moon back into their headspace. He was quiet, though. "S-Sun..." You stuttered and whimpered. "It's okay now, Sunshine." He whispered and carefully pulled you closer. "It's okay, Star," he muttered and stroked the back of your head as he kept you close to his chest. "You're safe now," he said, voice soft. You let out another sob as you clung to him, eyes still closed. The both of you sinking to the floor holding each other. "You're safe with us, starlight."
